Very true, good to see footballers being genuine heroes To be fair to Newcastle the players were probably so hyped up with the game and circumstances that it took a few seconds to react. then when they found out what had happened they looked totally shocked and Spurs took advantage after the restart
I think Bruce had 5 mins to talk to them and made them fall apart. Famous Nice man Bruce btw, didnt give a **** about the fan and spent the entire time giving instructions to the players, didnt mention it in post match. Spurs boss did.
I’ve seen the Steve Bruce post match interview, I mean ffs, do the man a favour and put him out of his misery. He’s completely beaten. They showed a shot of him stood on the touch line during the game (presumably when the crowd were calling for his head) and he genuinely looked like he was about to burst into tears. He deserves the sack for the current position they’re in, but the abuse he’s been getting is vitriolic and I reckon it’s completely broken him.
They were great, excellent responses and i hope they get cheers when the come to play us in future. As for the match, we played parts of the game with intensity and the only frustration is that we weren't like that when we played Leeds or Southampton. Tottenham deserved the win and 2-3 slightly flattered us.
He was always up against it in the job ( never a popular appointment) but when he started calling out the fans a couple of years ago and you add that to the number of times he's just laughing and joking with opposition managers when we've been shocking i just find it hard to feel any sympathy. If liverpool thump Everton this season and Benitez claps their fans and has a long smiling, joking conversation with Klopp afterwards i think it's fair to assume sections of your fans wouldn't be happy.
I think he's going this week... What I'm seeing really isn't acceptable from a premier league side We've been the 8th highest spenders since he joined the club and we were a solid well organised side when rafa left. He did well keeping us up, but this idea he's done a fantastic job is just quite simply wrong
Didn't watch the game and only just reading the crowd were signing Bruce out. He will be gone soo enough, doing that to him is awful, he is one of your lads from the NE.
There was nowhere near as much as vs Leeds.. 1st time was around 75 mins and then again at the death. I've actually defended Bruce when he was still getting it during times we were getting results, but what I saw yesterday and wfst I've seen overall is just really poor football and he's had money... A good amount. I'll take anyone at this point... He's man united through and through
Then again I have seen our nutters hire a plane to push a manager out, so I guess a few chants isnt so bad
I think Bruce is going this time... I don't even think he thinks he should be there anymore. 1000 games.. He sure does enjoy a struggle
Lampard, Fonseca or Favre? I would say on Lampard would take at the moment as others waiting for a higher profile opening/role. Frank wouldn't be the man I would pick to keep you up/bring you up

I don’t have sympathy for the fact he’s going to get sacked, just on a human level they should put him out of his misery as he’s clearly at his wits ends and I don’t see how it’s to anyone’s advantage to leave him hanging there, it ain’t right.
I don't get how he's meant to do his job. He's a dead man walking and everyone knows it. The players have got no respect for his authority, as he's not going to be there soon. A lot of them know they're on the way out, too. How can he get them up for it?
I’ve no idea what they’re waiting for, unless they’re maybe hoping he’ll fall on his own sword and it’ll save them a few quid?
I think they're just lining up the next manager. There's another international break in ten minutes, so they may as well take some time and get it right. Would it be better to let a caretaker do the job in the meantime? I think it would.
