Can Apoel Nicosia really qualify from their group, or even win it?
A 1-1 draw in Porto last night, plus the results so far, proves that finally, Cyprus has a team they can be very proud of.

Especially for you this one Dev! Don't know if you saw the game, but they almost nicked it at the end, I was on the edge of my seat!

I think Porto will win the group and hopefully Apoel will just pip St Petersburg.

On the domestic front this would probably mean Apoel would have more money than the rest of the Cypriot League sides put together.

    Where abouts were you staying?

If you were in Ayia Napa and went into an internet cafe during the daytime to take a look at not606, we may have exchanged a timecode and a shiny €1 coin without realising who we were <rofl>

You should have Lapras. It's an amazing place, one of the last divided cities in the world. It has some of the oldest relics in the med, in the archeological museum, you can visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, via a number of checkpoints. Choose the Ledra Palace hotel option and you can still see the bullet holes, that pepper the walls as a result of the huge gun battle, that took place there during the war of 1974.

Around the old city walls, you can see a Greek soldier, at the bottom of the wall and, just a few feet above him, atop the wall, behind a huge fence, will be his Turkish counterpart and they spend their time, exchanging pleasantries with each other.

    It's a wacky old town!

Was on a cruise which stopped in Limassol for the day. We mostly stayed in Limassol and went to a few historical sites nearby. Would be good to go to Nicosia though, seems like an interesting place. So no, unfortunately I don't think we exchanged a timecode and a euro, Fratton!
