Simply, in the interview with Rosberg recently the Mercedes used in the 1st part of the season, will not be the same as the one used in Bahrain. When asked "What will change?, He replied, "All aspects of the car", well something along them lines. The MGP-W02 V1 is being used for reliability and mileage not top (pure) speed... Your thoughts...

I expect another disappointing year for Merc as they were well off the pace in 10` and they dont look fast in testing.
Yeah but Red Bull haven't been breaking down left, right and centre and they've clocked some very impressive times in long stints. They have a lot of parts to bring to the car, but it's far from ideal not being able to test the car extensively with everything on it. We saw some teams taking two or three weekends to get an update working last season, if they have to throw a lot of parts on when they get to Bahrain, they could have to take a lot of them off again and run with the very average package they've been testing. I think Merc and McLaren could risk going over the top with secrecy, they've both lost a lot of time in the first two tests, and reportedly have a lot to change before the first weekend.
Honestly, Merc will be a dark horse I feel.. race wins for them this year I feel. The car is very much a showcar I think, what with its 2009 front wing design...
I was thinking that when it was revealed.. "Have they took a step backwards or forwards?", but it seems all is clear now.
I was thinking that when it was revealed.. "Have they took a step backwards or forwards?", but it seems all is clear now. FFS WHY DOES IT POST TWICE???
When you look back at the season of 2010, you come to realise it wan't that bad after all, Michael just ahd experience of being in the midfield most of the time... but the you realise this man has 7 titles under his belt and many, many years of experience... It's a matter of time before this man is once again on the edge of greatness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xgYFWp5YHY&feature=related
I think Schumacher's travails last season highlight just how difficult it is to come into F1 these days when there's very limited testing. Makes me feel even more sorry for Roman Grosjean who was given a pathetic amount of time by Renault. I hope he gets another chance soon, same with Hulkenberg, two bright young drivers with a lot to offer the sport but can't get a drive because of less talented, but well backed drivers.
Manny, Some good news for you ... http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/89499 Brawn: "We made a deliberate decision towards the end of last year to have a very 'plain' car for the first tests and a significant upgrade for the first race in Bahrain"
Jose thanks, I am borderline fanboy now, better calm down...... Yeah the Merc is set to change again in Bahrain..
The testing scenario was to be expected with the Mercedes.(and everyone else). The last test session will be the start of us being able to evaluate any strength or weakness with some amount of conviction. Until then it's pretty obscure. Nice to read Rosbergs thoughts, and his determination to compete and out point Schumacher again this year. Well done Nico, Makes for a good battle this year now that Michaels had time to adapt and adjust. Last year was one long test year for him, clever sod, lol. Its a 3 year program for Michael and Mercedes and it's going to plan from what I can see, so all good. That experience last season fighting in midfield would have re-honed this mans skill levels, something that was clearly visible towards the last third of the season.* Cmon Michael, [<<{o}-]
