I can see what you mean, but I just think that defender was close enough to make it awkward. It killed us being down to 10, Spurs just passed the minutes away for spells.

As for the breakdown in play, it was all day and has been for about 6 or 7 seasons. Since Cabaye left, we've never had someone who can play in there. Merino could but couldn't get a game. Everyone gets on big Joe's back, but honestly I think its a thankless task playing in front of them lot. There is no quality into them. All the best moves come from Joe controlling an awkward pass from a full back or ASM spinning someone and running. Nothing comes from a decent pass. Willock, Longstaff, Hayden, Shelvey - the quality and effort (excuse Hayden on effort) were shocking.

Son is lethal from that kinda position.. If shelvey didn't do it they'd be saying he should've.

It's one of them isn't it?

I can remember a mistake at the other end that lead to that break away who was it?

I want to say Ritchie. He made so many mistakes all match it became almost funny. There was one backwards header to a Spurs player that was particularly dire.

After the wor flags and the goal it became clear Tottenham had figured us out and I was looking at the dugout and seeing no activity.. He just hadn't realised and before I knew it it was 2-1, someone was having a heart attack in front of me, a few cultured types were threatening to knock people out for having their phones out ( rightly so) then it was 3-1

There's just always a little extra with this club

Definitely, we didn’t play in that 7 minute restart and that third goal killed us in the game.

Agree on that one, what did him was the stupid foul for his first yellow

Not sure but if I was guessing I'd say Willock. That's only because he was so incredibly **** though. Like to be worse than Longstaff was, given how bad he was, its quite an achievement actually.

Was it? ****ing hell I never picked that up live. I wasn't sure who it was but when you said Son it made sense position wise. Who made the error at the other end?

Thought ASM was a bit fairweather mind yesterday. Barely did any chasing back, choosing to go all french and chuck his arms in the air instead. When you look at the graft big Joe put in on the other side, thought ASM was a bit selfish. When you're playing teams with better players, everyone has to work hard. I think Joe has a part to play in the transition phase for us. I quite like him, he emptied his body for the cause yesterday. Mariner was a complete ****. Gave us **** all and was particularly hard on Joelinton. Joelinton made the mistake of having a pop at Mariner after he didn't give an obvious foul. You could see after Mariners ego kicked in and he thought "I'll teach you, you'll get **** all"

Darlow coming racing out to give Kane a goal was one of the things that riled me yesterday. One of many things he did wrong. He's so hyper all the time, someone just needs to calm him the **** down. That triangle of Clark, Lascelles and Darlow yesterday stank to the high heavens. Utter ****e all round, but in terms of comfort with the ball, it was like watching three league one players.

I notice he's ****e, then again I said Woodman was ****e when others were making out he was the next Buffon.

I think a lot of our players will have their contracts paid up or be offered on free transfers with us paying part their wages. Hardly anyone has any value or is an attractive proposition for anyone.

ASM being the type of player he is, is exactly why he's with us and not a higher level team that do play slick pass and move football.

Wilson is with us rather than a bigger club because his injury record is shockingly bad.

Ritchie is finished, Clarke is finished, Lascelles is finished, Shelvey is finished, Gayle is finished.

Remember that stupid backwards dive or whatever it was on a penalty a while back, he does weird things.

Yeah he's a ****ing weirdo Darlow. Definitely got the crazy in him. He's so hyped up his decision making (kinda important for a goalie) is terrible. He used to be a good shot stopper, that's the only nice thing I can say.

The build up and atmosphere yesterday was worth it. I had tears in my eyes.

Then the goal after a minute! It was an amazing moment and one I'm pleased I was there for..

The result didn't matter much too me actually..

If we'd won great but it was about so much more to me and I sensed everyone else too

I left 10 minutes early like, don't even care, it was that bad, even being off my face it was eye bleeding stuff after the first 2 minutes.

Still half feels like the Ashley era with this fat idiot hanging around.

But yea, the build up and first 2 mins were absolutely class, just great to feel something again.
