If there's any truth to that then the owners are sealing our relegation. Bruce simply won't get the requisite number of points before January to stay in a competitive position. I think he'll go tonight or tomorrow. But I also thought he'd be gone first thing last week...
He has to go. It's all in the numbers. And now we have the 1000 number out of the way I see no reason to keep him hanging on in his death throws. Just put him, and us, out of our misery
Watching and listening to his press interviews tonight left me with feeling the man was very much the rabbit in the headlights. He knows his time is up now, and it's not a question of 'if' but 'when'. I can't and I won't feel sorry for him because he has brought all this upon himself. Had he shown a little more honesty/humility and cut us the fans a little more slack then I maybe would have had a modicum of repect for him. As it stands I feel only pity as he his truly pitiful as he holds out for his big final payout...
This is not a business for sympathy. His record is ****. Any owner other than Ashley would already have got rid. Most club's get a new manager boost, I think ours would get a boost from having no manager at all. Let the players figure it out themselves!
The worst thing about this, and what these owners have to see, is it's ALL ABOUT BRUCE. Everything is poor me, I haven't had money, I'll do my best, I'm still here, I've got experience, I, I, I, me, me, me.......except it's never his fault. It's never "I ****ed up, I got it wrong, I'm not doing enough". He's THE most frustrating tosser we've ever had and he MUST go, because he's a cancer on the club. Whether it's entirely deserved will be forever debated among his press mates, but his very presence was bad on Sunday, it's bad today, it will continue to be bad and will never somehow, miraculously, be good. It's now an entire season of matches - 38 games - during which we have won just 7 and "accumulated" under 30 points, conceding 68. It's diabolical form and of course Ashley remains the reason we're in such a mess, but there's no doubting that Bruce does this everywhere once he passes two years and his ability to organise, train and motivate these players is negligible. Get. Him. Out. Now.
You know what I'd love to happen? Bruce sacked, Ole sacked, Bruce in at Old Trafford. Would be ****ing hilarious, the Utd fans would be beelin' their little hearts out, rushing out to buy Blue shirts and the media would be saying "they have got to be better than appointing Bruce". Of course it'll never happen. But I can hope.
Ok chaps. I have heard via two separate contacts that Bruce will be relieved of his duties this week. The contract issue is fixed. The problem is his team of staff who are extremely loyal to Bruce. They are needed to carry out first team responsibilities. That Jones will stay on but can’t do everything on his own. One of the contacts says that the club want to do it as early as possible but the club are worried about the negative external image it may portray. One of the contacts has been right before on things. The other is a legal person who has no contact with the other and they are both saying more or less the same thing. He has also said that Lascelles was a major reason why Bruce was kept on for the Spurs match?
