They've said they've got 50 million for January , that Arab money already flushing in ha ha Oh, and since they've said 50 million, I bet most clubs will say our player you want is 50 million ha ha
Fans were interviewed outside the stadium, "We've got our club back!" sobbed one, "They're generally nice people!" wailed another.
Money v Morality. We will find out soon enough how much top players and managers value their moral conscience over money.
Over a hundred years of rivalry stamped on like a giant monty python style foot. For me, they aren’t Newcastle united anymore, they are a team owned by Saudi Arabia. The ‘hatred’ has gone, just to be replaced by sadness.
I've said pretty much the same since the takeover, mate.Told Newcastle fans I work with that the "rivalry" is over imo
The strange thing about today’s match is there are going to be 52,000 screaming jurdeee’s backing their team and if they win you should ask why did they not do that before, also why did the players not play like that before as the only thing that has changed is the owners, so why are the two fat boys getting the blame for the position they are in?
They'll win today. I can imagine the majority of the players have been told that they won't be here within a couple of seasons, but if they keep the club in the Premier League each player will get a bonus of an island or two.
Yes I do. I hope they do tbh, he will spend the money no problem, but zero interest in the academy/promoting youth players etc. Saying that, I've been to Rome a couple of times and I know where I would rather be and it aint Newcastle, maybe he just can't be arsed with the circus it would bring.
If a bunch of lunatics can ignore their moral conscience through passion then I fully expect footballers to oversee it through money. FFS I can understand younguns letting priorities slip and getting swept up in it all. But grown men should at least show a bit more dignity. If I was a town fan I'd be feeling a bit sheepish at the moment.
