Weird commentary - saying we’re being totally outplayed. I agree that Lallana is bossing affairs such that Brighton are largely on top, but our press has caught them several times and we are creating openings.

Lees-Melou has been ferocious, our best player so far.

Multiple body checks from Brighton players suggests they’re not afraid to be dirty against us either.

Sargent can't put enough on the ball to hit an open goal. **** sake that was the slice of luck we needed.

Not quite sure why he's come in and immediately dominated set pieces, who was taking them earlier in the season?

Before the Sargent madness they very briefly showed a big divot in the pitch

McLean isn’t good enough at this level for me, too slow on the ball, lacks concentration when marking a man. I’d rather Rupp or Gilmour in there. Ideally Sorensen and move Normann into Mcleans position.

Decent half IMO I think we’ve matched them. Gutted Sargent couldn’t put more on his shot, as the commentator said I’m not sure it would have crossed the line even if there wasn’t an interception, just needs a bit of confidence!

Well that could have been worse? The Brighton penalty shout usually goes against us, Trossard hit the bar, Krul lucky to make a double save when the second ball could have gone anywhere. Gutted Sargent didn't find the net, that could have made such a difference.

Second half, agree with Suffolk about a midfield change. We don't have great ball retention at the moment, and the game doesn't feel especially physical, so McLean out for Gilmour for me. It's not like we're putting in quality corners that McLean might get on the end of.

According to Sky stats, City have failed to make a single successful tackle in the entire first half.

I don't see the point of putting the ball straight in from corners when Brighton have Duffy, Dunk and Burn ready to clear them out.

The good and the not so good in Sargent perfectly illustrated this afternoon. Tzolis or Rashica please at 60 minutes DF.

Sargent is a work-rate player, isn't he? Every team needs them, especially teams in the lower half of the Prem. But they are limited.

That’s total rubbish, I’ve seen Lees-Melou some make two.

Sargent is, what, 21. He might look 40, but he’s got huge promise.

Three of their midfielders have yellows. We should go right those players.

Yeah, he's there to create space and pull people around, press the defence, etc, presumably with the idea that other players can take advantage of that. But the Brighton CBs have got a 3 v 2 against Sargent and Pukki, so they can still have two people with eyes on Pukki. To be honest, they could probably have all 3 worry about Pukki, just let Sargent have the ball.
