Anything less than a win isn't good enough now they're without their leader in midfield, their best creative player and their main striker.

Shame to see A.Armstrong out the side. Surely a good opportunity to get among the goals? If we can't score against this lot we're in real trouble.
Just guessing here, but I think in training Ralph will be giving everyone very precise instructions as to what their role is in a given situation. I think it’s pretty clear the likes of Redmond and Djenepo are better at taking this stuff on board at the moment than Tella. Just a guess though.
He said in an interview that Tella runs at players too much and gets in behind too much which he didn’t like. So yeah seems like he isn’t great at taking on instructions yet
Okay, makes sense then. Saying that, I would have presumed same with Broja, but he’s getting his run today. Again, maybe playing two players that lack that bit of nous felt like too much of a risk.
Yeah makes sense from Ralph’s point of view, but I’d imagine the reason he doesn’t want to put Tella in is exactly the reason fans want him in the team
Totally get that. But it goes back to the old "what they do in training" thing. Trouble is, if that was the one and only yardstick, I don't think we'd ever have seen Le Tissier on a football pitch. A great manager needs to understand when to just throw a talent out there. As I said though, I suspect he's thinking 'give Broja a chance in this one', which means that Tella stays on the bench. It reminds me a bit of that horrid run we had under Koeman, where he was forced by injury to stumble upon what turned out to be the right combination, and one I don't think he was getting to prior to the injuries. I hope it won't take that with Ralph. I get his reasoning, but at some point, he probably needs to think "**** it" at some point.
I have a feeling this will turn out to be more of a 4-1-4-1 in which case maybe Broja is in because Ralph sees him as being better in a lone striker role.
I kind of agree but he must see the same things we’ve seen and think we need to try something else to be better going forward, Tella maybe the answer, maybe not but think we need to try something different. We are better defensively but I’m still not sure if that is because we aren’t being as gung ho when going forward so not leaving ourselves open. Being better defensively has meant our attacking has suffered
Excited to see broja. Shame Armstrong (both of them) are left out though. Not expecting much from this, but come on saints
