Last season, we were three wins away from 4th place, and the Champions League.
We were 4 wins away from 3rd place and the Champions League.
We're not talking about changing the laws of physics, subtle chances.
A good midfielder and a second striker may have made the difference in a league where such fine lines are the difference between winning and losing.

Last season we batted a bit above our station and caught a few people out. This season we have one new face at LB who hasn’t yet settled whilst a lot of our rivals strengthened just a little bit more

Partly, but we were awful in pre-season, and didn't get back into our rhythm until West Ham. Perhaps the coaches should have done more during pre season to make sure we were ready for the opener at Old Trafford.

Still cannot plat at full tilt with 50% of your 18 man squad out injured or suspended. Even this weekend we still could have 5 first teamers out, and we are at game 8 without once having our best 11 on the pitch

We also spent choose to our record transfer fee on an upgrade on the wing.

There is no denying we have started shower this season but all the signs are pointing towards our performances getting us back to the lens of last season

I think we’ll have to stop blaming injuries, it’s part of modern football and it happens to all clubs. Bielsa chooses to rely on a smaller squad, I understand why but you do run the risk of these problems specially with the added Covid threat

I fear that we are going to lose our best players like Raphinha, Lloente, Koch, Phillips, Meslier and keep sheit players like Forshaw, Dallas and Roberts. Hope we at least get some serious money for them.

This has ofcause not happen yet, but I think it is very likely it will. And If/when this happens it just goes to prove that Leeds are a selling club and not a big club, we are at best a medium club. This means that we would always have to sell players for big money just to keep in the prem.

To think that some Leeds fans seriously thought we would get into top 6 this season is laughable. Think we should be very happy if we end up between 12th and 15th. But hey, at least we will have the dream of making it.

To get into the top 6 we need to get an owner with ****loads of money like the new owner of Newcastle. Right now, there is so many clubs that has owners with a hell of lot more money that our owner and there will be many more. I just hope that we can get the golden goose one day and hopefully very soon.

Every club is a selling club, look at the stars the so called big 6 have lost over the years, the big difference is they can attract quality replacements, yes us like the other also rans will struggle to keep our better players, that's the nature of the beast, we have to be patient and if and when the time comes we have to sell, then hopefully we get a few goodies when they're replaced.. Football isn't a level playing field, when you get established PL team's like Everton,Arsenal, Spurs struggling to make an impact, then it's pretty obvious we're going to be mid table,at best for a few years at least. Enjoy what we have and think back now far we've come the last 3 years

Yes, that is true. But as you say the big clubs will always attract quality players. And those quality players are star players that only goes back and forth between the big clubs. Smaller clubs will never be able to compete with those big clubs. The smaller clubs will never be able to keep hold of their best players and forced to selling them to bigger clubs that then again get even more richer and the gap gets even greater.

So, the only way to become a big club is to get a super-rich owner.

I’m very happy with how far we have come in the last few years. But I’m thinking forward, what is next, where do we want to be? Are we going to be happy being a mid-table club or do we want to compete with the big boys?

To compete with the big boys, I think we need a super-rich owner or owners. But would Leeds fans except that we would buy our way to success? A lot of Leeds fans have been very vocal against buying success.

Then it becomes the 64,000 dollar question.
I think the vast majority would like it done with progressing as we are but the stark reality is, it is very unlikely to happen.
So do you want success at all costs or stay as an also ran.

True, it all comes down to what you want and what you would be happy with. I think for now Leeds fans are happy with what we have and where we are. There is a lot of Leeds fans that is expecting us to end up in top half of the table or even go into the top 6 and go to Europe. And if we don’t do that the season has been a failure and we have gone backwards.

Personally, I don’t think I would have had any problem with an owner like the Newcastle one as long as it brought success. I guess you could say that is like saying at all cost:bandit::emoticon-0102-bigsm

Whilst we have Bielsa the area we can exceed and beat everyone else in the transfer market and our pulling power will work in our favour is when there is true talent that hasn't reached it's full potential.

When you have 4 internationals out it doesnt help. Bamford, Phillips, Koch and Raphinha plus Ayling and Junior missing is a bit of a joke though. 6 players with at least 5 starters all missing means we are not getting any breaks this season again
