It's not if Dubs gets injured again, which he will. We ship goals for ****ing fun every single time we are without him. Tarkowski, Henderson, Lingard and Coutinho are all very realisitc players and the squad would be significantly better I also presume the new manager will play Schar.
Looking through the list of soon to be out of contract players Franck Kessie at is the one that stands out the most as every-time I've watched him play for AC Milan he's been awesome and IMO he's already as good if not better than most of the midfielders at the top 6 teams besides the likes of Kante & De Bruyne. He'd give us the much needed control and possession that we currently sorely lack in midfield and as such it would make it much easier for us to avoid relegation this season if we paid a reasonable fee to Milan in the January window. Plus he'll still be good enough 4 years from now even if we have a squad full of Madrid style Galacticos I also think it would be a mistake to do much of our transfer business with English clubs because there's already a ton of broke-ass clubs in France/Spain with talented players who we can buy far easier for half the cost of overrated players like Ward-Prowse or Martial Because of the pandemic and the recent TV deal fiasco in France we could really fill out & strengthen the weak points of our squad with smart Euro buys/loans in January instead of spending a fortune on one or two good English players like Maddison.
The teams to look at for bargins are in Italy and Barcelone for sure. They will be happy to relieve the wage bill
Pedri just signed a new contract with a £1bn release clause. Small change to us I don't really watch enough foreign football but even Merino back would be class
Absofuckinglutely!!! Although some will say no because apparently we’ve become snobs now and no one wants a top class player with bundles of goals and assists.
No it's not. We need central midfielders, a back up striker and defenders are priorities. A player who plays in same position as ASM is not a priority
No doubt but if we do have a limit on our budget I'd not be happy if the main positions weren't filled due to getting a marquee signing. In 10 years time if all goes to plan then every signing can be a marquee signing
Yes but our best player plays in same position as Sterling/Coutinho so getting them first in is not a priority.
I'll just take anyone tbh I'm going to go with the flow. We need a few points 1st and if the current manager and players can get a few on the board come January it could make the next stage easier.
