Well, I started on a new shift pattern Sunday night, so I lost a fookin day and was looking forward to the match tonight ffs (not tonight, Wednesday night, but I obviously didn't press post) <laugh>

Anyway nice to see another win and in response to @Teessidemackem earlier post.
Don't worry mate. Sit back and enjoy what's happening.
The seeds of a great club we can all be proud of have been sewn and the shoots are well and truly sprouting :)

Ps, I think I'm going senile <yikes>  :D

So we've just been given a 5k fine and we picked a team that won. How does that work?

Because of the twisted EFL rules.
Premiership clubs can play their kids no problem, but us minnows have to include at least four squad members who played in our previous outing, the fact our kids beat their kids is immaterial, it's totally bonkers but there you go our 5 grand is obviously keeping the EFL afloat.

Its just adds to the many reason why getting out of this god foresaken league is a MUST this season. We need promotion at all costs.

I've just watched it on +1
Cardiff away 1.1 Pop Robson getting the equaliser
Couldn't spot myself behind the goal mind.
Canny day out and night until our nominated driver came back, allegedly, pissed and fell asleep in the back of the van. I had to drive back from Lichfield to Peterlee after a night on the #@$$. Nearly had a heart attack when a County Car blocked the road in Billingham adjacent to The Swan (?) But after taking a close look reversed and let us continue, PHEW.
Oh the memories, what it was to be young and daft

Yes I did, not sure what I'm going to do when No.2 son leaves home and takes his sky subscription with him. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Watched the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge and it really makes you appreciate how much stadia have improved in recent years.
Also playing surface has improved markedly
Pitch invasions and a supporter "talking" to the linesman whilst play going on.
I know people yearn for the old days but I think theres a fair bit of rose coloured spectacles about our recollections

Stadiums and pitches have improved etc like you say but not atmosphere imo. And the money involved today is ruining it.

Totally agree about the money aspect. Football at the higher level is in danger of forgetting its roots
