Big names likley won't until they've built a new training ground and aren't looking like going down. I've resigned myself to Bruce being here all season
I don't get this thing about telling people to calm down, this has arguably been the biggest week in the clubs history, of course people aren't calm right now lol.
Jesus Christ, man - I thought you'd left the rampant paranoia and delusional depression behind when Ashley left?! I'm going to leave the board if you're going to keep ****ing planespotting and reaching wildly weird conclusions every day.
As with any business, once ownership changes hands then contracts can be reviewed. Under employment law he's in a strong position because he's been here over 2 years. He's not bulletproof, because we're 19th and trending towards relegation. A compromise is being agreed as we speak, and he knows he's got to stay professional and quiet to get the most out of that agreement, which will probably lean towards £3m with another £1m for the coaching staff. We also need a transition. Most clubs when sacking a manager have an infrastructure than can 'get by' in the interim. We have one coach, because Bruce/Agnew/Clemence are all joined at the hip. We cannot possibly have a sustained period with just one coach supporting the first team. So what will need to be done is interviews and offers to coaching setups, i.e. Campos, Jardim + 3/4 supporting coaches, who need to relocate from Saudi Arabia, prepare their families, sign a contract, etc., etc. This is the real world, where things need to happen in real time. The takeover, as it took less than a day to go from court case to completion, would normally have gone over a number of weeks allowing all the building blocks to be put in place beforehand, which would lead to instant dismissal. Amanda and the team haven't had the luxury, they are having to work doubletime to try and get things lined up, timing is **** because all their first choices are tied up - Jose, Rafa would have jumped into the role, so all those plans are scuppered and we're now having to work out who can come in to this clusterfuck and turn it around, who has that attitude, mettle and ability? The bookies haven't a clue, because it's unclear. If this had happened in July, when it was supposed to, Rafa/Mourinho would both be 1/10 on to take over and one of them would. So it's unfortunate, and we all now want instant gratification, but it will take a little longer because it's far harder to get this one right. Basically, we need to chill the **** out.
You're certainly an interesting character Roly I'll give you that. I've listened to your negative rants and criticism of anyone believing PIF were still at the table and now here we're listening to you trying to act like Mr perfect Note you've singled me out about the plane banter too. Like it's just me which tells me alot. Lighten up I even said I wasn't being serious.. Its a misunderstanding
Me. I reckon they've taken advantage of the coaching numbers to the brink this week, He'll be peddled after training and Jones will be a last minute appointment for the weekend. All flying under the radar, all avoiding a media cluster **** at the presser. Lets face it, its not a physical session on Saturday. It will be set pieces at most and most probably individual instructions with regards marking and movement.
Just say what I see, mate, that's it. Pretty black and white, just my view, and it's usually wrong. No offence intended.
It's not your board to start telling anyone what they can or can't post and when you single me out I don't appreciate it. I will confess this was a case of me expecting you and others to see that I was taking the piss which was foolish because its text and you can't see my body language. It's all good mate ill accept responsibility for the misunderstanding.
