CRAIG WHYTE today assured Rangers supporters he will underwrite an investment of £20million into the club by 2016 – but revealed he is open to the idea of other major investors coming on board and fan ownership schemes.

He also denied rumours that the club were running out of money and insisted that, although £3m of cash has been frozen in three pending claims against them by HMRC, former chief executive Martin Bain and finance director Donald McIntyre, there would be scope to make signings in January.

This is the same man who dropped big hints about spending millions on transfers only for Rangers to lose out on loads of players because they couldn't cough up a couple of million.

Then a few weeks after the transfer window closed said that Rangers would have to make savings of up to £7m by January (indicating that players would have to be sold.)

Now he expects people to believe he will underwrite an investment of £20m!

Pull the other one pal.

As for the bit about other investors coming on board. Ahem, isn't this bloke a billionaire?

The whole thing is as dodgy as ****.

Trevor Santos. When you look in the mirror in the morning, do you trust the scrum-bag you see?
I am assuming you do have a mirror.

Did Whyte not splash out a whole £1 of his own hard earned cash to buy a club who he may or may not have supported as a boy?

How could anyone question his motives?

Cynical bastards. <grr>

He's a venture capitalist who heads a company called Liberty Capital. They specialise in buying distressed businesses and selling them on.

Hmmm...

OMFG StereoGAYPEST.

How did you find this out <yikes>

Why don't you just worry yourself about how Big Monsterbitch (Tinas secret lover <doh>) gets on tonight?

The truth is we ALL know **** all about Whytey other than he's not related to Barry Whyte...
