What’s going on with he who shall not be named at Everton, who was apparently arrested but never actually confirmed but hasn’t been seen since start of season? Haven’t heard anything about him, don’t even think he’s been charged has he? Or his name officially confirmed.
It’s a complete disgrace tbh mate. They’ve still not charged him and he’s been left hanging for nearly 3 months now. He’s in a safe house ffs. Either charge him or issue a NFA notice and let the fella try and rebuild his life. Don’t get me wrong though, if he is guilty of something then let justice take its course and he gets what he deserves. However, to arrest him and not charge for this period of time is totally out of order imo, 3 months is the Police controlled bail limit and it’s due shortly, they could extend yet further but would need a magistrate (not even a judge ffs) to sign it off.
Seems very odd. You’ve either got evidence to charge him or not and as it’s so high profile you’d think they’d be keen to make sure had 100% proof before doing anything or else it’s going to come back to **** on the force. You’d imagine he has to be guilty of something but seems odd that been mo mention of it since the rumours first came out.
The whole thing stinks imo. I think it’s obvs they’ve charged him when they had very little actual evidence & they've spent the last 3 months trying to put together a case that the CPS will even consider.
Rumour is it involves a 15 year old girl, but what the allegation is and what evidence there is to support any allegations remains a mystery. I often think with high profile individuals the Police consider it a good scalp to have, and perhaps jump the gun with arresting the individual rather than making sure they have enough evidence for the CPS first.
for being alleged anything I suppose, but yeah the presumption in court is innocent til proven guilty. In theory chelsea have sacked lads for less/more though and the courts anre no the only place he's been damaged has it? maybe you guys just want to sell him though or somehting? . In any event, we have seen people in yankland sacked for giving the finger to trump on the roadside, people sacked for walking through a building with their id badge (morons) we've seen loads of celebrities lose endorsements etc for lesser allegations so he has lost out on a lot of stuff already like you've removed him form the 25 man prem panel so he cannot play at all even if charges were dropped tomorrow and his wife left the house etc, his sponsorships have dried up but maybe everton cannot make a case to terminate him with prejudice until he is formally charged/ found guilty but he will be all but worthless in that case anyway. didn't cheslea sue mutu and chased him all over for years to ruin him to get back fees? At this point wouldn't Sigurdsson just be a total liability for your side?
Is he still getting paid do you know? Can't see why he wouldn't be bar not being able to fulfill his contractually obligations but that's "not his fault" (least until proven guilty)
my guess is they are scouring phone , PC's and trawling through messaging systems or they have lost the evidence .
I presume actually they had a 15 year olds evidence that something happened but said 15 year old may not be as cooperative any more.
You can’t sack someone based on an unproven accusation particularly when no actual charge has been made. US employment rights are none existent, celebrities losing endorsements isn’t comparable with full time employment and will come with a whole host of contractual get outs. Mutu was sacked for taking cocaine and was sued for his asset value.
He’d sue us for the full value of his contract plus substantial damages if he was either never charged or acquitted.
You could just keep him on gardening leave without pay until his contract is up. Like, I would rather a Chelsea a approach to the ****e we did with Clyne who was done for drugs internally according to rumours. How exactly he was let off by the testers is unknown and I still don get that rumour. In any event if he wears an Everton shirt again I'll be surprised.
We couldn’t though, as if he’s issued with an NFA next week and we just black balled him not only would be a ****ing disgrace, but he’d still sue. All you’ve achieved here is to prove that for some, the notion that **** sticks irrespective of actual guilt is true.
