In all seriousness I think courtois is acting entitled.

Some of his squad mates got to go home early (lukaku) but others didn't and he is probably acting the spoiled child wondering how he didn't.

That said I am fully sure their squad discussed it before the "semi final" they lost and had long since agreed the the "3rd place game" wasn't big enough to bother about.

Imo if they have an issue then don't try to win the pointless thing at all. fairly simple to just not bother in the earlier games. but then again that's all entitlement too i suppose.

There might even be 3 Belgium fans who actually wanted to see their nation win something and guess what their team let them down again :)

In the end I hope we all see that due to Covid the likes of FIFA and UEFA got away with murder on this international front as they all made losses and now they are flogging the players by wedging in any and all games they can to fill that 2 week slot.

I'd say goalkeepers have the least to worry about in terms of burnout. I just like it when players (or managers) actually say what the rest of us are thinking.

the problem is they are being forced into being said community and we are seeing "lgbtQ only" teams being forms in multiple sports.

In general there's a massive difference between the different elements to this grouping such that of course its impossible to group. The common theme is trying to be themselves whatever that is.

I can jog up and be a thundercunt (according to Z) any time i like as my "group" is the majority.

I really don't see how you can distinguish between schofield, adcock and other sports people such as nigel owens or gareth thomas who have all to different degrees shown the anguish of this stuff.

Is it jut cos you think football fans are scum and they should hide from the abuse?

The jenner stuff btw is an unknown. There's others like elliott/ellen page who showed what may be a more genuine and less attention seeking way about the whole thing but thats just kardashian bashing as well :)

the difference between race and gender is players of difference races cannot hide and have to take the neaderthals abuse round europe etc. players who are gay or lesbian can hide but its wrong they have to IMO.

in 2014 same sex marriage was legalised. 2014. I was happy as they had to be as miserable as the rest of us lol. I went to a couple of weddings since and really its like this, everyone has a family member or friend in this group no matter how disparate it is.

we ned to push this stuff through. remember when someone made a big story about one of our players being gay (henderson), or remember us having a go at Ronaldo for his silver shorts?

Thinking back its not great is it?

oh i dunno I'm sure they concentrate really hard or something. I recall Schmeichel saying he got headaches in games but i always put it down to him shouting at neville so much.

I'm sure he just wanted to go home and have a party.

My wider family is huge. For want of a better way of putting it and sincerely no disrespect to anyone, they are my family after all, we have at least one of everything, yes even a utd supporter amongst us (who is also bame) So I like to think that I am supportive of all even when it's hard to comprehend some of the issues. I only say this because I'm aware that some of my views could be seen as not being in touch with the fast moving modern world. I don't want to come across as an 'oh I'm not racist, I've got black friends' type either. A lot of my views also reflect my age and some, my religion, so there are a few specific areas that I don't want to speak out on. I try to have the view of live and let live and apart from the person who killed my brother, I don't hate anybody or any group.

I think Adcock is brave but not someone like Schofield who lied to his wife and children for 20 odd years. He got married at a time when it was acceptable to be gay so no excuse there.

Maybe they should finish every sentence with "in my opinion" like we sometimes have to on here...

I understand where you're coming from but they don't just stand still, they move the entire game and have to concentrate throughout too so it's mentally draining.

was always my problem when I played in goal….always a couple of local tarts distracting me. Being a keeper didn’t last long. But I wasn’t exhausted…just ****ing frozen <laugh>

Used to play in net in a 5-a-side league, not many games were you're stupid bored but even when dominating the opposition you can't stop anticipating the shot coming.

I accept that in Redknapp's opinion, it is a stupid rule - it is in mine. But he said the interpretation of the rule was wrong - it isn't. If a player goes to play the ball and makes contact with it, it's not offside. ****ing idiotic rule, but not the interpretation of it.

5 aside is different. Used to love the all action nature of it. Was never a good keeper in 5 aside - always came out with the ball lol

Ice got very good reflexes but I'm only 5'8" so I was very good in 5-a-side goal, terrible in full size <laugh>

Outfield, I play like a defensive quarter back; good defensively, can read the play, can pass and see openings/runs. Also got (well, had... shoulders ****ed now) a decent throw too. The throw and vision meant I was very good at realising the ball and creating chances in 5-a-side. Still very frustrating that I couldn't play with my feet though <laugh>

Think of a keeper more like last man back.

Hes got to be minding postion and shuffling left and right with the ball so he is always covering that ball over top.

The only sprint is to that ball so yeah compared to a midfielder they dont cover much ground but they no longer stand between the sticks shivering.

I have a gay friend who's been very well-known in the music business for decades - obviously one of the safer fields to be openly "out". He's a member of a gay diners club - their title, not mine - where there is now considerable unrest because a number of trans people are wanting to join. The old guard are unhappy because they're "not the same as us".
Sadly people will always find ways to create a schism.

That is such classic human nature.

You can almost sense the arboreal mammal ancestor that hid form sabre tooth predators in our actions.

Them and us. It doesn't matter that the other is its is perceived as it the same therefore a threat to run from.

Be it club football or race, colour or creed. It's all the same instinct of self preservation buried down in some primate part of our brains.

The rational.mind doesn't even perceive why the chemicals trigger the response.

I'd politely suggest to the trans people that they start a trans diners club as they aren't gay so membership isn't open to them. The way things are going your gay friend and his dinner club buddies may find themselves being reported for their 'transphobic actions'.
