There is an inordinate amount of crumpet in Nottingham, so it could very well be true .

 

Nottingham has always been known as having the biggest ratio for women to men. It might not have been exactly that but probably wasn't far off, tbh.

 

Just checked my memory bank. The 7 to 1 ratio story is a myth.

 

Nottingham doesnt have a male/female ration any different to the rest of the country but there was certainly a lot more women in the city centre on a night out. The women admitted it as well. This was when I visited in the mid 70s.

 

I lived in Nottingham for 2 years (get it roon ye Big Bonce) and can vouch for the fact that there are indeed 7 tarts to every bloke there.

And I shagged them all at the International Airport.

Imagine getting yourself upset and thinking it's not fair that somebody has been handed the keys to a nice villa so they can get away just after their Mother's death and subsequently her funeral.

 

Old Harlow is quite nice as is Stevenage Old Town. Stevenage has a far better road layout, Harlow is a pain to get in and out of. What about Luton and Milton Keynes? Both unattractive in their own way. Hemel Hempstead and Hatfield are quite miserable. Not been to Herne Bay but google images look quite lovely.

 

Less babies = good for the environment

 

There's lots of places that may not look good from a cursory glance but there's very nice place nearby - take Milton Keynes for example.

Just outside Montlucon. A lovely old town with a medieval part but, like many in central France, quite poor. €100 a night is considered quite expensive by the locals.
