Bruce could be in charge for the Spurs game. I don’t say that lightly. Anyone who knows my feelings towards him knows my stance. But they can’t just install a new management team including coaching staff with a magic wand. Bruce had some dignity. He knows where he stands and I’ve said from the day of takeover he deserves a chance at redemption. I know a lot of people think I’m barmy on that point: but he has a chance in his prematch notes to set the record straight: once and for all.
Exactly: I agree: he’s not what we need right now. It’s a different ball game. Even pep would struggle. He would hate it in fact. Imagine pep looking at our squad in the changing room. He would sniff and go “peasants. Everywhere”!
