4 Man Utd are gonna leave the fight for the Prem title to keep the mags in the same league https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...sfer-raid-FOUR-Manchester-United-players.html
Yesterday they were going to sign Kalidou Koulibaly, James Tarkowski, Jesse Lingard, and Mauro Icardi. Today they've added Anthony Martial, Donny van de Beek, and Eric Bailly to that list. Managers today are Steven Gerrard, Brendan Rodgers, Lucien Favre, and Ralf Rangnick.
No player will want the scrutiny of being the first Saudi signing. They know the first question will be, "So, you made a point of taking the knee, for a year, to protest against all kinds of discrimination from racism, sexism to homophobia etc ... ... how do you feel now about taking money from one of the worst offenders on the planet?"
You aren't aware of the Mo Salah rumour? Yeah they're in for him and have offered one million a week to play for them.
I think they can spend 190 million in January and stay within the FFP limits so I do expect they'll chuck some big cash about and bring in a few big names straightaway.
Head of Sport and Development at Lokomotiv Moscow, yeah. Some newspaper reports saying he's interested in doing something similar at Newcastle but he hasn't been at Lokomotiv long so who knows.
Ah but would you want to be in some god foresaken place where they don't speak english, you're looking over your shoulder every minute in case someone is out to get you or would you rather stay in Russia?
It'll be a brave manager who'll take the job. It's bad enough having the Mags as supporters but now they'll have to justify being in the pay of the Saudis. It's ironic that the Mags are famous for issuing death threats without carrying them out ... ... unlike their new owners who do.
In the distant future, if we do play them again, there will be no derby nerves for me, which will be nice. They will be on a different planet as far as I'm concerned, and not just financially.
Smug, I've supported you over the road in the pre-takeover stuff, and then took your advice to come over here when the idiots over there took control of the airwaves. A move I have not regretted for a moment. However, we need to keep our counsel in this matter to preserve our dignity. Make no mistake, any comments we make regarding the horrible, hateful nature of the Saudi regime, are seen by everyone other than us,as sour grapes and envy. We should desist! We have turned out to be so lucky in that we,in our turn, have a very wealthy ownership, who are determined to steer us back to the top flight, a fact which is currently lost amongst the faithful up the road, and which may well come back to haunt them in the future. Ok,we may not have the financial resources of the Saudi princes, but,we may have intelligent know-how and resources to provide us with great, successful football we can enjoy. As I've said in other posts,I now no longer see them as on field rivals. They're going to move on,that's obvious, but, our day will come, when our very intelligent and well funded ownership will provide the glorious opportunity for us to take them on.....as equals! It will come! Can't wait!
