Thats okay fella, hopefully we'll be back in the Prem in the next few years (fingers crossed). We miss you guys
Boro are playin well at the moment, they beat us at ER , though we were one nil up after 60 mins, had missed a hatful of chances, we then got a player sent off, and all went down the swanny....
I remember that game had an interesting chain of events. Gradel snapped McMahon who snapped Howson who snapped Emnes who scored the winning goal.
Yeah I can actually see them getting promoted, and once again wishing that we hate them as much as they hate us.
I'd like to see Leeds come back up (aslong as we don't pass you on the way down). Theres only so much pain any supporter should have to endure and you lot have had it as bad if not worse than our 15 and 19 point seasons. That was pain!
Interesting topic: nice one Chap ...On a personal note, I could never ever support the mags, and would probably start supporting Ryhope in the Northern league...
I'd support Tottenham, always been my second team but I really don't know why. Maybe because Ginola and Sir Les went there in the 90s.
We dont hate you, probably a little resentful that you have taken so many of our players on the cheap when we have been in difficulty. Batty Woodgate Milner etc, etc During the 1990 World Cup, our then MD (Fotherby) was sent out to bring Fastino Aspilla to ER, not only did he decide off his own back not to go for Aspilla, but he came back with Tomas Brolin
Thousands used to do that in the 1950s. Pit villages all over Co. Durham and Northumberland used to run buses from the W.M.C., and the wives would shop while the man went to the match - one week in Newcastle and the next in Sunderland. It was only on derby days that you had to make a choice. But I've stood on the Leazes end when we were 2-0 down and had the piss taken out of me something rotten, and, in the second half, we came back to get a 2-2 draw - and boy did I give them mags some stick! No aggro either way because some of them mags were probably going to Roker next weekend and I'd maybe be standing next to one of them on the Fulwell End.
My dad used to take uncle matty to Newcastle one week, Sunderland the next. I could never understand that. SAFC. x
True. My Father and Uncles used to do the same during the 50s and early 60s. If for some reason neither team was at home , they went to Hartlepool. How times have changed , eh ?
I'd prob go and support Spartak Moscow, and wait till some new Newcastle based club to emerge, which it probably would due to the potential fanbase.
Think someone on here once posted they would rather take a 2 week self catering holiday in Helmand provence than support the scumbags. I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
