Not going down this road again but just one comment. For me I’ve never accused the parents of murder. What I have said is that the parents by their admitted actions were grossly negligent in their care of all their children and, therefore, complicit in whatever happened to Madeline and that as a result I had no sympathy for them whatsoever. I have always wanted all those involved caught and convicted but that the refusal by Mrs M’c Cann to answer questions at the outset would have severely hampered the police investigation thereby compounding her earlier grossly negligent actions of leaving the children by themselves. The Police claiming to “know” doesn’t impress me as I have first hand (for clients) seen the Police “know” before and be wrong. Put whoever before a Court and then obtain a conviction and then I’ll be satisfied but not before.
