Bruce will join Derby when Ashley buys them. Bit of useless information for you there <laugh>

I haven't checked but I bet if I go look at the possession stats he is still conceding the ball to the opposition most of the time, and playing counter. Certainly the games I've caught its been mainly counter - they barely touched the ball against Man U. He has got some quick counter players. Very early days to be getting carried away about Rafa's Everton, I'll be surprised if they are top 6 come the end of the season. Not many counter attack teams who concede possession to the oppo regularly manage to sustain it all season.

We want to move towards the possession based pressing game that sees you at the top of modern football. Rafa isn't the man for us, we've moved past the likes of him now, and need to be cutting edge.

EDIT: I've just checked. 9 games played including cup games. Had more possession once, against Burnley. Who also play counter attack.

    v Man U 72% conceded
    v Norwich 54% condeded
    v QPR 66% conceded
    v Villa 56% conceded
    v Brighton 66% conceded
    v Huddersfield 53% conceded
    v Leeds 70% conceded
    v Southampton 52% conceded

We defo don't need to watch the oppo have the ball.

Just someone modern. My preference would Marcelo Gallardo at River Plate. His contract runs out in December so it would depend if they viewed Jones as competent until then. Could be risky.

Failing that I'd look at Potter. Very close friends with Jones, similar philosophies, and would get us set away playing possession based modern football.

Gallardo would be a bit left field but I'd imagine he would fit right in to the way we want to play. Potter would probably be more realistic but I just think he won't be considered for some reason. Rodgers or Martinez are more likely candidates imo.

Probably because he/she/they haven’t been charged and convicted and that weird legal concept of innocent until proven guilty.

These names being linked for the executive board are exactly what you want to see. Ragnick has been massively influential on the likes of Klopp, Tuchel, RP Leipzig, Red Bull Salzberg, etc etc. That modern possession based attacking football. These sort of guys will set the club philosophy for years to come. We will finally have direction after 14 yrs. Exciting to already see that they are going to put a serious team together. Getting Wilcox out of Man City would seem unlikely mind.

It was glaringly obvious and people that had accused the parents of the murder directly didn't want to accept they'd got it wrong

Innocent until proven guilty wasn't an issue when accusing the parents though was it mate

I'm just going to let them get with it any anything they do is going to be great.

It's amazing who and what fans don't want already.

Rodgers and Martinez are certainly at the more realistic end. All these types are fine with me. Trying to play the game as it has become now.

Nothing against Rafa mind, say what you want, he may be a negative so and so, have his own way of doing things, but he has always been effective with it. I just don't want that for us. I want something for the long term, something modern, something attacking/exciting. Something which once set in place, we can get managers with similar ethos to slip straight into.

I'm confident already. The names linked suggest they have a long term picture in mind, and they won't listen to the external noise. They've already done the ground work by the looks of it. They have people advising them way more knowledgeable than the fans. Frank McFarlane being example. Links with Ragnick, Wilcox. Its all the top end, its all cutting edge, modern thinking people. They are going to drag us into a new era. A very exciting one.

I'd say to a certain extent that's true. Only the likes of Pep and Klopp are truly out of reach. Gallardo to me looks ideal but Barcelona have long been linked, and they seem to be trying to get to Xmas with Koeman when his contract runs out. But if you were Gallardo, would you want to sort out a mess like Barca's with zero money, for all they are 200 millions times the club we are, or would you rather come in here where pressure initially is low, you get unlimited funds to get everything as you want, and where you will get massive credit if successful as the first to do it here.

Depends how Gallardo views it, Barcelona is a massive deal. But the internal politics there is really messy at present. Gallardo has definitely reached a good point at which to leave River. Most successful in their history, done everything there.
