Look. The Spurs match sold out instantly, 10k extra tickets sold at £40 quid: each will spend about £50 each on match day. So that’s £90 x 10k= 900k. That’s a million extra. In 1 game. Then you have the sponsorship that I believe will be at least £2m for that game alone. Shirt sales are up 400%. It’s an accountants dream.
Out of interest, why would you think that 35m Saudis will suddenly be supporting Newcastle? Not trying to wum, I’d imagine most will already support a team although ok some may change. But also a lot of Saudis hate their government for their human rights issues, so why would they then support a club that is owned by that government?
Wish list: - a training ground as good as Leicester - youth setup that gets 90% or the regions talent - a 80k ground within stones throw of the current ground. - a football team good enough to entertain 80k geordies not too much to ask is it?
Finally had a day off work so I’ve spent in doing more research on the takeover etc. Did not know that Saudi Arabia are reportedly in the process of launching a new national airline to compete with Emirates, Etihad and Qatar in the region, PIF are expected to be behind the funding for it too. I wonder if they’ll end up being our principal sponsor? Easy way to get it out to the world when it’s launched
man I **** spending an extra 50 quid in he ground, am I ****. Until topless totty or headless totty starts vaults all the way
