Apparently Howe would turn down Newcastle to wait for the Saints job. <laugh> <laugh>

This, this this. Seen some hate for Newcastle, which I find ridiculous. Football is a microcosm of society as a whole. And unfortunately the battle against insane greed was lost decades ago upon the creation of central banks. Since then greed seems to be rampant - from the corrupt financial cartel of the central banks, to the conglomerates paying zero taxes, to the hidden tax of inflation stealing everyone’s money.

Unfortunately football is just a symptom of a wider failing of governments/society to create & adhere to anything close to a moral or just way of living.

As it stands, I think there has been zero sporting integrity in the PL for a long time; basically since it’s inception. And so I wish Newcastle the best. I said the same for Man City. They were/are great clubs with great fans. I hold less hate for them and their owners than I hold for the bankers and financiers of London and Wall Street who print money at the expense of the taxpaying public.

I bet you laughed when West Ham re-hired Moyes.

Howe is a very good manager, I have no idea why he has become a figure of ridicule on here.

Reckon Newcastle will probably be aiming a bit higher than Howe.

I was laughing more at the fact that a report suggested he would turn down Newcastle for us.

Howe and/or his wife have a mega problem with home sickness though, it’s the reason he quit Burnley and he doesn’t seem to be entertaining any jobs at all despite being a manager who’s name you would expect to pop up.

There was the suggestion he may go to Celtic which would have been a surprise but it never really materialised.

Genuinely think he would only consider Saints or Pompey the way things are going.

Just don’t let him sign anyone. His transfer record is shocking and he had so much control of that at Bournemouth when given money to spend.

I’d actually be really interested if he goes to Newcastle and had a big budget and a good DoF and transfer strategy above him. It would really be the litmus test for him.

There must be an alternative route?
"Manchester United decided to fly to Leicester ahead of their clash in the Premier League - a journey that took 10 minutes.
The squad flew from Manchester Airport to the East Midlands on Friday - a 100-mile trip - after the M6 was closed.
United would have usually chosen to travel by coach but a decision was made last-minute to fly following the unexpected closure of the motorway.
And the players would barely have had time to strap in their seatbelts with the flight taking just 10 minutes to reach its destination." Mirror

"Manchester United have defended their decision to fly the 100 mile journey to their Premier League game at Leicester.
United say they would not normally fly to the game but plans changed due to "circumstances". There were reports of traffic congestion on the M6." Beeb Sport.

They could have gone via the M60 and it would have taken 10 minutes longer. Twats.
