Killer was a ****ing legend. He was never one of the Entertainers, but he was the main reason we avoided relegation to the third tier when he came in; Ardiles had pinned all his hopes on the kids but they had no leader, Killer sorted that out. And yeah we are missing that leader now, 4 years ago it looked like Laecelles was gonna be that figure but he's faded badly. The more experienced players (Shelvey, Richie, Fernandez etc) don't have a stand out among them, we need that figure.

As I said, he looked like he could be leader, but never totally fulfilled in. Certainly Laecelles was a leader in the dressing room when we went down, hence Rafa made him captain.
First player? I assume squad is what you meant. Regardless who gives a **** really, but it really should be a defensive midfielder and ball player before all else. Reality might be a more attack minded player to whet the appetite a la Robinho First order of business is to sack Steve and appoint Potter or Gallardo. Then get a DOF/Sporting Directorship in place. Then they can all liaise in a big money laden fest, and bring in whoever the **** they want.
