I remember buying The Mothers of Invention's Freak Out, their first album, in the mid-60s - and wishing I hadn't. They seemed to change band members a heck of a lot more often that we change Head Coaches...
Ok Cologne. You can have it. Some time before the appointment Zappa had destroyed the wife of U.S. Secretary of State, James Baker, in a debate on censorship. Baker's wife wanted to clamp down on popular music, which she believed was corrupting youth such as BB and Yorkie. According to Czech Radio International when Zappa was appointed Baker told Havel, "You can do business with the United States or you can do business with Frank Zappa." I've just been listening to Zappa's work for orchestra played by the London Symphony Orchestra. Very interesting but challenging.
Cheers NZ. Which entire area of Europe rises by about a millimetre per year due to subterranean movement and rising magma ?
The continental crust is thinner there than in other places in Europe and the ground motion significantly higher suggesting a rising magma plume. The area is about 2,000 square km. The entire area is rising by about a millimetre per year and is the only example of this in continental Europe.
It is the central Eifel region Frenchie Bordering the Ardennes in Belgium and Luxembourg and stretching from the Rhine to the Wittlich depression - there are 20 (hopefully) inactive volcanoes in this region. There is no vulcanicity on the other side of the Rhine. Over to you.
Thanks cologne. On a similar theme, volcanoes, where on a clear day would you be standing and be able to see 1 / 7th of France?
