Maybe not at the moment but we will when we only renew 30% of the French fleets licences, which was on the news yesterday
There's absolutely no chance. Quotas have been sold off to big companies leaving independent fishermen to go out of business That's irreversible.
Anybody who watched Boris Johnson today couldn't fail to be impressed with him. It genuinely was a great speech. I'm even more optimistic about our future after listening to that. Great stuff
(3) Peter Stefanovic on Twitter: "Did those cheering Boris Johnson’s conference speech actually believe half the bull**** he was telling them? Get the FACTS here! https://t.co/WX29fZgazF" / Twitter
I'm not listening to some agenda driven union guy. It was a great speech and I'm happy to feed off the positivity and see where his leadership takes us these next few years It would be nice to hear your views instead of just posting a link and staying silent
Boris is a buffoon, but he undeniably wins elections. 2 x London Mayor & 1 x PM is not bad going TBF. The problem is he's still not doing what he said he would when he got the top job. Supertrawlers in GB waters, NI cast adrift, EU not granting equivalence for the City, etc. etc. He talks a good talk, but he's not walking the walk so well...
I think there’s been one or two things going on over the last couple of years that might of distracted him
No excuses, though. He doesn't do it all himself and he's dropped the ball a few times. You want to try getting petrol where I live
Yup. Supposedly only 20% of local petrol stations are dry, but all the ones I pass en route to work are completely out...
Boris Johnson is a populist. He tells people what they want to hear, whether he is able to do what he says is an entirely different matter and, to him, is immaterial. He will merely blame outside forces when what he says inevitably does not transpire.
The BBC fact checker suggests that, with one or two caveats, most of what Johnson said in his speech was factually correct. Pretty much the same as Starmer's last week. So, on that basis, I feel that neither of them lied particularly. Whether either of them fulfil the promises that they have made is another story but, should he win an election, the onus to do so will be just as much on Starmer as it is on Johnson. I would hazard a guess that at least some of his promises never come to fruition.

I had a 30 mile round trip for fuel today, not a big deal but not easy seeing the French press mocking us.
