Yeah they were nowhere to be seen when the times were hard. When they were last in the premier league in 1999. I was attending reserve games for Sunderland which were pulling in bigger crowds than Leeds first team. True story.
It's awful mate. It was a decent comp for the bottom two tiers prior to that. Completely devalued now in my book. They even fix the draws in the group stages to avoid high profile matches
Yeah, it's ****. I never liked it when we had our U21's there its more arrogance by the EPL throwing their weight around. I'd rather the U21 places went to some non-league clubs, tbh.
No mate. I've been a season ticket holder since I was 6 years old (thanks Dad ) but action needed to be taken to get that Chelsea scum out of Leeds. The fact the 3rd tier was closed showed that the thousands of us that were staying away was having an effect, albeit minimal. As soon as that shyster left we all came back and even though we still had some tough times ahead we got there in the end.
All joking aside for a minute, we have probably got close to a complete youth team (the ones closest to having a pop at the first team squad) out on loan ... so having to play the U21s is rather pointless ... daft idea
