Huh? As mentioned - the moneys going where it is needed (charity or buying a stake in the club if/when available), in a timescale that's undetermined - that was all EXCEPTIONALLY and abundantly clear to members when signing up to the scheme. Did you sign up to it and read the info put out in relation to it?

In regards to what they want to achieve - you'd be mad to think that the trust were trying to buy a voice or a say in how the club is run but what they are trying is to get access to the club so they can oversee and report on the goings on in the shady corridors of SJP nothing more, nothing less. If there isn't an opportunity to do that - a lot of local charities will benefit from the scheme.

This is the thing though, They are supposed to have access to the club and be able to report that back to fans by having meetings with the likes of Charnley. They didn't need some of their guys - (Yousef the lawyer), going on a podcast taking the piss out of Keith Patterson saying his claims about CAT were ridiculous and would be laughed out of court. This type of behaviour caused a division in the support base as people weighed up on who to believe and who not to believe.

I get that Wraith and Keith get on some peoples nerves and I understand that. However in this case - Keith has been proven to be correct so far. Even if it is denied through the courts he brought a claim against the EPL and got it into a court of law, the poor bloke has had the piss ripped out of him from people on the NUST bandwagon.

I feel the NUST should have perhaps waited for this outcome before coming up with this scheme, done it in a more professional manner - with a business plan for example, and at least having held initial talks with the proposed new owners prior to launching the scheme rather than spunking their load early doors and then criticising those who had questions about the validity of it.

Another simple point here I would have liked answered. If I wanted to invest say £250,000 to their total, what do I get out of it? Go 15 years in the future and someone else wants to purchase the club all 100% of the club. Do I get the money back I originally put in? Or does that vanish into the ether as a charitable donation? Say the new owners want to put the club back on the stock market, do I get my £250,000 I put in back as shares? I bet I don't. What are the plans of the potential new owners? Do they plan on eventually going to the NYSE? I bet they think about it. Why not wait and see, and then if they wished to try and purchase shares do it in this manner? None of these types of questions are answered out in the open. When asking online you get shot down. That's why I think it's been done in a piss poor manner.

Some of the business points here are so ****ing basic. They are looking for investment - a considerable sum of investment, but do not know what the **** they are investing in?

1 - So a legal representative laughing out some joe bloggs commoner, like yourself or I, legal claims that they've have made up is a bad reflection on the trust? "Yosef the lawyer" - no one I've heard of btw, is not listed as a board member - www.nufctrust.co.uk - so not sure it's anything to do with the Trust but I'd laugh with the lawyer on this one. If you were going to ask one to represent you in court would you go with Keith or Yousef? The difference in having access to the club and being able to attend the board meetings (even with no say in the day to day running of the club) will give fans a better idea of what is going on at the club - currently the trust get to hand info to the club and the club throw it in the bin and the trust only receive what they are given by the club, if they were at meetings they'd be party to all of what is discussed and be able to report factually to fans.

2 - Wraith and Keith are of no relation to this - why bring them up? They are like you and me - no idea what's going on bar their own little world but have got a platform to spout their opinions as concrete fact so are "ITK". From what I've seen from Keith on twitter, the guy is a master of smoke and mirrors, saying a lot without saying anything substantive. Wraith blocked me years ago so don't have to listen to his nonsense - thank which ever god you believe in.

3 - They had the pledge going (March/April 2021) before CAT (May 2021) was a factor so waiting for an outcome wasn't an option. The trust looked ahead at a point when the club was in limbo with the takeover and with Bruce literally scrapping the last few results last year to prevent him taking us down (which would have cause all this to be a moot point). The trust don't care if it's 1% share in the KSA regime NUFC or buying a larger share of an NUFC in league 2, they just want an in to see what's going on so they can report it to members - and the rest of the fans who aren't members who get the info as well through various rehashed news outlets.

4 - As with anyone putting a £1 or £250,000 you get to know you contributed to a successful purchase of a part of your club - or your money has gone to local charities. Again - if you read the info when they were setting up in any degree you'd understand that money is non-refundable, it's never coming back to you - I can categorically guarantee you that anyone who donated and those who weren't to busy licking windows instead of reading the T&C's fully understood this. But if you have ANY queries get in touch with the trust via email (privately) they are exceptionally helpful - especially considering they all get nothing out of it.

I'm not arguing against the role that NUST is supposed to play or its existence. The idea is that a trust is supposed to have at least one meeting with the club each season to find out these points and to have a chance to relay any information on behalf of the supporters. The fact that the club **** on them is to the detriment of the club.

The reason I mention Wraith and Keith is because you brought them up several posts ago. I couldn't give a **** about either of them however what Keith was arguing with Yousef from True-Faith about was that he would rather trust a competition QC's opinion over a conveyancing solicitor. It had been Yousef backing the share of the trust that caused the issues from what I can gather.

The CAT case started way before May 2021. It started last year originally as 2 supporters taking on the EPL and the club then took this case over. It was due to this that the EPL broke confidentiality when they informed them that they were already in legal proceedings with the club. So the NUST were well aware of the legal processes that were ongoing to say they weren't is absurd.

Okay - here's my point. The trust could well get a non executive director on the board for **** all, nothing, zero, hee-haw, nowt, zilch. They don't need to try and raise £3m to buy a 1% share to get a lesser outcome than having a non executive director appointed which a potential new regime may well offer to them for nothing.

However this would have required communicating with the potential new owners, whether that be the Saudi Arabia consortium in the Prem League or Karl's carpet world in the championship or lower. At least they could have had a proper plan of action.

I'm not arguing, I did want to know what happened with larger investments though and had it answered. So learned something new.
