    Well quite.

The Welsh Assembly have offered it out, but there's no suggestion whatsoever that people will be coerced into it.

Not that they could anyway, obviously.

The offer is there, and for near adult teenagers the choice is theirs.

    yep
i understood and agreed with 12 -15 yr olds who were vulnerable or lived with vulnerable people being offered it but as i've said previously on this if i had younger kids i wouldn't be agreeing to them having it .

I don't think they'll do it but if they go even younger there's nothing in the world that would make me even consider it for my lad.

    Mental.

    It’s all about choice.

Some people saying the government are forcing people to have the vaccine using stealth measures.
People saying they will block those wanting the jab?

12 or 21. You can make your own choice.

It's a bit like alcohol or gambling or sex and generally kids wanting to do what they want. Sorry mate they don't get a choice

Not sure why we're talking about choice as if its the be all and end all of everything. Society has plenty of laws etc in place to restrict or even remove people having the ability to choose things.

    nothing of the sort.
Rules are clear, you have to be 18 to buy alcohol, and it’s illegal to sell to an under 18.
There are rules that beer and wine can be purchased/served to 16-18 in a restaurant. It’s illegal to serve alcohol at home to anyone under 16. I hope these are not rules people have broken.

There's a big difference between 12 and 15 year olds, and certainly up to 21 year olds.

This is the age bracket suggested; 12-15.

I've two sons, one happens to be 12, the other is 15.

They are in no way 'the same' maturity wise.

    It's not even a question.

Adults aren't being forced to have it so there is no way anyone is even suggesting kids will be forced to.
But 'denying' a 12 year old a Covid jab is the same as denying them the chance to go out and buy a pint for **** sake.

Are they deemed old enough to make their own decision on that? No, of course not.

We also have laws around parental rights though.

What about if there's no law involved? Would you let you're 12 year old hang around on the streets all night if they chose to do so?

They might choose to abuse solvents. Sound as long as they made that choice themselves?

Unsure why alcohol was mentioned by another, let’s move away from that.

you have made your feeling clear and I won’t attempt to quote or change your view.
My 7 year old ever gets offered and she wants it, she is smart enough to be allowed. And she won’t be pushed.

    Ooh. Good one..

not sure I would. But I also wouldn’t let a 15 year old either, no matter how mature they seem compared to the one at 12.

So there are times where you'd decide as a parent that you know better and would restrict their choices? Interesting.

Not suggesting it's the same btw. Just pointing that self choice isn't everything and non negotiable.

not really. It’s nice to have an opinion, you may not agree and go to great lengths to find a scenario to fits your own personal view.

that’s cool, hanging out on street corners is how people get into trouble. Anti social behaviour etc.
A vaccine could save my kids life if they were unlucky to catch Covid.

They have more chance of dying from getting run over on the street than catching covid and dying.

You better keep your 7 year old daughter locked up based on chance of dying

A kid can't go out, buy lager and get pissed. It's illegal.

A kid can legally decide to have a vaccine and their choice on that specifically comes before their parents wants.

Like how you ignored the part of my post saying I wasn't suggesting they were the same then based your post as if I didn't say it lol.

Not great lengths at all, just a couple of things that came to mind as it was **** I did as a teenager. I was a bright kid too.

Again, I'm not suggesting in anyway the situations are equitable. I'm just saying that your posts are talking about the freedom of choice as if its a right and can in no way be restricted which isn't really true.
