That would be the third "nation" he's represented, having played for GB at the Olympics. Good luck to him. It's not like he's going to get any more England caps. Short article on the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58760472
Caulker will definitely be one of those “what might have been…” players for me. He really impressed me in his breakthrough season, played in exactly half of our league games, more than half our Europa games and all our domestics which is a lot for a breakthrough season. If I remember rightly his reason for leaving was because he wanted more regular football, I think he would’ve gotten more games the following season with us yet back to back relegations with Cardiff and QPR followed by some off field issues just sent his career spiralling. The talent was/ is definitely there in my opinion. Real shame.
ITV 1 are going to show the documentary Greavsie on 11th Oct as tribute the the one and only, a must watch
Transfermarkt and others state he has only been offered a contract until the end of the season, with an option to extend. Looks like someone at Villareal has at least half a brain cell.
please log in to view this image Looks like he had offers from England and turned down the scum. Fair play to him.
That was a long and hard watch seeing him in a Spurs shirt for 4 years. Anyway, I hope this move works out for him.
That might be a record low on the Lennon Scale. He looks happy. Good luck to him. Infuriating player but by all accounts a popular, warm character off the pitch. His work in the community, charity work and playing so soon after his brother's death are qualities that shouldn't be forgotten in a hurry.
Was worried that there was a "back story" behind him not getting a new club...really pleased it was just a case of him taking his time. Hope he gets on well.
Club video of Defoe's top 5 goals for us: I think they're removing our former club commentator from these clips.
Used to annoy the **** out of me, because he had the pace to leave defenders behind anyway. Why risk that really slight advantage when you don't need it? Inzaghi's probably the only one that I've seen who was worse. ****er lived offside.
If only the dream of Defoe with van der Vaart loading the bullets lined up with the reality of van der Vaart wondering why Defoe wasn't knocking down long diagonals from Dawson like Crouchy regularly did...
