was Accy's pitch as bad as that when it got abandoned ? needs looking as into no premier teams would have played in them conditions, 3-0 the ref bottled it, did not dare call it off no matches can get called off now then after that.
monty you need to calm yourself before a mischief is done. Telling us Argyle supporters how great your lot are is not the answer and you need to remember you aren't in the premier league now so what they would or wouldn't do is a bit irrelevant isn't it. We've only just got electricity in some of our grounds, Have a heart......
Where's he done this Greeny? This is the only comment that I can see from him today... Are you coming on here trying to outdo him with your 'you aren't in the premier league now' comment?
Just been through the Plymouth board and I can't see any such comments from Monty. I think Greeny may have made that up for some strange reason
Not at all Saff. One above on here, one on our board and one on Portsmouth board. That's 3 just to be helpful for you. "back with avengance" (Plymouth) ""best team in this league"(Portsmouth} "no premier league teams would have played in those conditions" (Sunderland) Just pointing out that he needs to chill is all before he has a nasty with all that angst. It's only October and there is a long season to go yet and whatever happens in the Prem isn't relevant anymore is it .
You said, 'Telling us Argyle supporters how great your lot are is not the answer' So he never actually done that? You just made that up as I mentioned. You've had a sly dig at us not being a premier league team for no reason, then... Ourselves and Monty are decent people. We'll accept your apology, no problem
If I get around to offering one I'm pleased to see you will accept it. I fail to see what the conditions of the Pompey pitch had to do with Argyle in the first place so why even post his comment on the board if it wasn't to have a dig of his own? Our pitch drains extremely well by the way so you can tell him not to worry when he comes down here.
You are better than this Greeny. Plymouth fans have never been regarded as cowards, you should really do the right thing and man-up about being wrong. You've come on and told a lie about one of our posters to give you an excuse to have a pop at our football club. That lie has been found out and now you are trying a lot of whataboutery. Just say sorry to Monty for lying about him and move on. I know you've got it in you.
Oh Greeny, you are still at it. Yes, I would be embarrassed if I was you right now and I had been shown to be a little fibber but I would honestly do the right thing and apologise. I can't believe you actually just made up a random lie about one of our posters just so you can come on here and have a pop at Sunderland. You crazy crazy man
So monty posted "Waterpolo cost us today but we'll be back with a vengeance" just after How is that "telling Argyle supporters how great you lot are", it's banter. The term southern softies springs to mind if that's considered nasty.
He's had a mare. He's been found out to be lying about this. Nobody has been on the Plymouth board and said anything about them or how great Sunderland are like he claims, but he's come on here and had a pop at Sunderland for no reason. The guy is a liar and a hypocrite. I've probably give him all the attention he was craving, though. My bad.
You need to calm yersel an fook off mate. If you don't like what monty posts on your board then mod it, but don't come on here trying to make him look bad with yer bullshit.
sorry but they can all **** off we are the biggest club in this division by a mile, **** refs have cost us that is a fact and support wise no one anywhere near us.
Greeny has always had an issue with Sunderland for whatever reason. He's out of order for bullshitting about Monty to come and have a pop at us, though. He didn't need to do that, he should have grown a pair and just said what he wanted to say.
I think it was more a case of believing the hype, its the Manager's and his coaching teams job to get the players in the right frame of mind. We'll get results like this as we're a work in progress still. We've played 6 at home and 4 away. Our next home game we'll have a similar games away record and hopefully more points.
From the off, yesterday, it was obvious things weren't right but only became apparent when the game started. There was no reason for that defence to be so ineffective against a team that's struggled for goals. We made the mistake of trying to play football and play out from the back. The whole experience reminded me of what it was for the Portsmouth supporters ... ... a throwback to the 1940's and a cup tie against a big club. The bog of a pitch, the ramshackle stadium and the bumbling locals from the land that time forgot. Here's some footage from yesterday, for anyone who hasn't seen it.
It's a good job that's was in black and white otherwise I might have mistaken it for yesterday looking at their supporters
