We bought Dajaku in from the Bundesliga so to not start him with that many injuries would make him a pretty pointless signing really.
Fair enough mate, im going to get pished now and pretend today never happened

Frustrating day but I’m satisfied with our start to the season. Regroup and go again after the international break.

That was the slight fear before the game, aggressive home crowd and Portsmouth just being more up for it.

Expected more fight from us though. Dajaku's selection raised an eyebrow with the type of game it was going to be.

that would have been called off if we had been 3-0 up ! be interesting that NO match can be called off now because of this, that was the worst pitch i have seen in 40 years with not even starting.

We are a team that plays football which we proved on Tuesday, you can not play football in those conditions, the game shouldn't have been played but it was, one team adapted better to the conditions so we can't really complain.
It was always going to be a struggle for any team who have spent all week on a game plan then come Saturday you can't implement it.
We move on and put it down to one of those things, I would be really upset if the playing conditions had been perfect and we'd lost, but they weren't, we still have exactly the same points as the top 2 and a long season and I still expect us to win the league with games to spare

We are one of the top two mate and 2 points clear of third with a game in hand. Could have been a lot worse but we got away with it. You can't play football on a water polo court and a match not far away was abandoned so again inconsistencies with officials. We move on and use this result as a grounding for the team. I'm not thrilled but resigned to the fact a team of sluggers adapted better than a skillful passing team.
