i saw him at reading festie a couple of years back, there's a picture of me on FB with a monkey t shirt & bucket hat - which I regretted later, but that's another story. He can't sing can't dance/move, but was entertaining, far better than a solo ashcroft (apart when he sings the verve classics, then everyone gets stoned and blubs in each others arms)
I saw the Charlatans when they supported Oasis at finsbury park.. Do like the Charlatans... I had some erb then too... also black rebel motorcycle club, the coral.. cant remember who else..
brmc, i remember having a conversation on them with you over a pint in malvern good sir, damn damn good band
i think because two of them are united fans, and although both of them were born in manchester(tim burgess, mark collins) but raised in Northwich (again I think) people make the connection. but what that has to with cardiff pisshead chavs i don't know.
I have met RR a couple of times over a round of golf and letching at barmaids.... have also met tunns when he took his good lady for a weekend of walking the malverns... none of us have met foo to my knowledge... he remains elusive... dont think he can bring himself to tell his wife he is meeting an internet friend...
we've known each other for years on the old 606, there were many more but they've fallen by the way ... ****in lightweights
haha... yeah he did.... though he kept us at opposite sides of the table an she wasnt allowed to make eye contact with me...
...... she's still heavily medicated. the therepist claims there is not much hope for her, but I never lose faith.
ha ha wondered why she always wants to watch celebrity juice ..... see nif you can work that one out then matey boy
Just been to a chippy down here and entirely ramdomly it sold deep fried battered mars bars. I think the woman who owns it might be Scottish. I've been to Scotland enough times and never indulged but this time I was strangely tempted. I wonder what the hell they taste like.? Actually I don't, I think I can guess as there aren't that many ingredients. This is in rurual Somerset by the way, not some suburban chipper. **** it, I'm off for a bottle of Shiraz.
In my school days you could go to the shop any buy any choclate bar and take it to the chip and they would batter it for you. I don't live in Scotland though. I tried them once and it was just wrong !
Completely agree. I tried a deep fried Mars bar at the end of a beer festival and just couldn't eat it. And I'd had twelve pints by then! I'd have eaten my own arm if I'd had some mayo to dip it in...
It's not that bad. I was up in Scotland not too long ago, just a normal chippy and they would fry anything. The deep friend pizza and Mars bar wasn't too bad, the fried muffin however was a bit too far...
I once found a chippy in Torquay that dunked their chips in batter prior to frying.. Was absolutely tremendous.. Wish the chippys round here did a bag of scraps with their chips like you get up north..
Oooop north eh? Where simpletons live. I don't think I'll get a decent night's kip till I try one of the monstrosities so I'll be having one of them. Next week probably, as an interesting warm dessert to some pie and chips. Tell you what, it's ****ing cold this morning. It's times like this that I yearn to be in a warm toasty office rather than building things in the depth of winter. Can't feel my toes.
