That competition is a complete embarrassment, if you win it no one will care, if you get knocked out everyone will laugh at you for not being able to see off a load of plumbers & fishermen. There’s no money in it & it’s the dreaded Thursday / Sunday season ender. Won’t be long until a club says, nah we’ll give it the swerve ta, give our place to Arsenal.
It's an incredible situation at Barca. The depth to which they are fcked is ridiculous. They've got a manager, the president and board don't want but don't have the money to sack. In pre-season the president was reported as saying something along the lines of "we're going to see if we can get rid of him, but if we can't we'll just have to manage" Koeman knows they want him out but also knows he holds all the cards because they can't sack him. They've got a number of old has-beens on high wages they can't shift off their books and costing them millions. Those players know they're not wanted so don't give a fck on the pitch. They can't afford to buy anyone decent, so they're forcing through players from the youth system in some sort of "sink or swim" baptism of fire The club is fcked to the max.
They've only just been able to register Aguero because the FFP wouldn't let them until a few others had taken pay cuts, seems they were lucky Messi didn't renew last year as that could've bankrupted them.
You always imagine this would happen to a big club, but even then you don't actually expect it to happen. Yeh Leeds why not, but Barca? It's like a perfect storm and it's happening at one of the biggest clubs, arguably the most lauded over the past 12 years.
It won’t end up with them being in the courts and being saved at the last minute from going out of existence.
Thought the way Barca did business was the pinnacle of world football and the thing everyone should be aiming for? load of bollocks as per then
Fernandes looks like he's suffered since Ronaldo has come into the team. His confidence looked shot to pieces against Villa. You could tell he was going to miss that penalty. Solskjaer has got some job on with that lot, at the moment.
I was saying just the same thing to trebs and diego the other night, brunos not the big man anymore and its had an obvious affect on him
Yeah, I was sat with a Utd supporter watching the game and he said exactly the same. Bruno ain't the number one anymore and you are seeing it in his performances. Some players are confidence players that need to feel important to the team and Bruno isn't feeling the love, at the moment. It's definitely had an affect on him.
