I’d rather do than don’t to be honest. Trophy’s a trophy for me. I expect rotated lineups for certain games but equally when the time is right I hope we take it seriously enough to try and win the thing. Entering competitions without the will to win it never makes sense to me, especially if you’re a favourite for it, sets a bad mentality around the place.
It’s a waste of time right now. Don’t get me wrong, if you get to the semi finals then yeah time to focus on it and take it seriously but ultimately Spurs lose games that really matter
We have won 2 trophies in 30 years... I'd love to win it...we won't but I would love it if we did win it #kevinkeeganliveson
Pre-match interviews: Can't be bothered to watch them, so I've no insight into what's been said, I'm afraid. Edit: Added the training, which I also haven't watched.
Ryan Sessegnon... What a wise, wise investment he has proven to be. Staggering how much we got wrong in that window.
He's in a similar boat to Ndombele, as he was a player Poch wanted in the summer of 2018 and if he didn't get him in the summer of 2018 he wasn't interested in anyone else While on the one hand I did agree when Poch said he didn't want any Stambouli-type signings because signing a stopgap and hoping to flip them a year later for a profit was obviously not sustainable (and it took us two years to get Nkoudou out the door, negating the entire point) but that's still an improvement on not signing anybody and hoping to muddle along until a transfer window sometime down the road
All 3 of the signings that summer were players we'd been closely tracking for 2 years already. Tanguy and Sess were even the subjects of concrete enquiries the year before. That's what filled us all with such excitement. For the first time, a manager was getting precisely who he wanted. Cost was immaterial and bargain imitations weren't an option. Rarely in the history of sporting conflict has so much disappointment been caused to so many by so few...
The kid badly needs to stay injury free and make that LB position his own. I'm still sure he can become a quality player but these injuries are killing him atm
No Davies in the squad. Can only presume he’s injured. Dele captain… my days this club has fallen so far. Captain Crab makes another appearance too.
On the other hand, if we can point at the player who the fans have had a hate boner for for the past two years actually remembering to stay in position at any point in the game, that might give Ndombele a hint that maybe his opinion of himself could do with lowering Personally I'd have preferred Lo Celso to start over Dele, mainly because playing him on the wing simply doesn't work Markanday can probably feel a touch aggrieved to not make the bench
Actually belay that. Saw it was on BT and am using my ex's BT account. Funnily enough, the login details are still on my PC.
I assume this means Dele won't be starting on sunday, which is certainly a good thing. Bit concerned how much we're already using Reguilon. He's had a very mixed start to the season but to my mind is already playing too much. Would love to see Romero-Rodon given a run at CB. Dier and Sanchez have shown time and again they simply aren't good enough.
