That would be swell, I've been waiting for my Nigerian friend to get back in touch with my billions but he seems to have gone quiet since I sent him my passport

 

What baffled me was hoe Lewis QC is condidered a top barrister. His case and arguments were appalling.

 

I did wonder about the post NDM made highlighting that he and Lewis were in the same chambers. Is everybody sick of the corruption? 'Cos as Henry Winter points out, this is effectively NUFC fighting for everyone vs 6 clubs.

 

But you can only argue what is given to you, no?

 

I seen somewhere on Twatter earlier that Panorama were looking for people with accounts of this case and other Premier league corruption evidence to get in touch by e-mail as part of their investigation.

Hm interesting point. I think that might be bad news for the CAT case because if that was possible they would just do it right.

Actually thinking about it it makes no difference. The O & D test would still apply.

 

NCUK is the exact same as SJHL

 

It won't though. The holding company isn't the club. It is the club bound by PL rules. That is SHL's argument. If a holding company is viewed as separate from the club by CAT then there is nothing the PL can do.

Ashley is arguing that SJH are not bound by PL rules ergo, NCUK/ PZ NEWCO shouldn't be. His team are effectively trying to get the takeover through via competition law. Damages are secondary.

 

Anybody else noticing a subtle change in narrative from the PL?

Now its being reported that all they want is clarification on the roles of the would be directors of the club and how the persons involved could be changed by PIF at any time.

 

This is going to settle out of court and behind the scenes within the next few weeks I reckon.

They where making it clear yesterday that they would assess that point at ARB.

However if they are worried that CAT goes ahead I guess the next option is that.

The PL can go back to Bein and the dirty half dozen and say “we tried everything we could be we literally don’t have a leg to stand on so we have to back down or the whole ****bang is coming out. Is that what you ****ers want?”

 

@Sheikh_of_Araby i was saying this six months ago. That the PL where just going through the motions to an eventual point of they don’t have a case.

 

@Roy Munson will be waxing off at this mate. Are we all ready for an eternity of him saying “told you so”?

To be fair to him he has been saying this from day one like.

 

PL just change rules and make it compulsory otherwise can't participate. Other Clubs would agree. And we're all back to square one.
