Wigan Athletic's run of 5 straight league wins was ended with defeat by Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening - Can Gills inflict another defeat on The Latics?

Feel free to delete if this is getting in the way. I'm a Sunderland supporter so have an obvious interest in this game. You guys seem to have really strong home form against Wigan. The last 8 games have produced 6 Gillingham wins, 1 draw and only 1 defeat. Please keep that going on Saturday <cheers>

It's a hard one to call. Steve Evans and Paul Raynor will have the know how, how to beat Wigan, but it's what the players do on the day. I'm erring on the side of caution, and probably going to go for a draw, but even so that's two points taken from them and a good one point for us.

Cummings in goal is the one they need to beat though, on loan from Chelsea and putting in outstanding saves worthy of a higher level. He's certainly no L1 keeper, but he's got to keep it going to prove to who it matters, which is way higher than Gillingham could ever afford.

History shows 15 wins for the Gills and 16 lost, but we still own the greatest win between our two clubs... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_Football_League_Second_Division_play-off_Final

Hopefully Oliver or Lloyd can find the net again as they did at Cambridge, having said all that, hopefully we don't get battered.

    1-1 (Oliver)

Wigan certainly doesn't deserve to be in this division and look at their two defeats, Wednesday and Sunderland, two other teams who should not be in this division.
I know we have a good recent record against them, but I feel the pressure is on.
    SORRY

I think the definition of miracle will be if we get anything out of this, but that was the thought before Burton...
