"Eventually, you will end up playing loads of games around the world," he said. "That will happen. "They will take the games to where they want to play them. If you have owners from China, India, Russia, America, they will want to take their teams there to play. I can see that will happen." (Source: BBC Football website) Okay, so he didn't specify any actual teams, but that's what he's alluding to. I doubt that Abramovic will move Chelsea to Moscow, as he's probably still wanted by the KGB, but you can't rule it out entirely. But, I do think there is a very good chance that Blackburn will be moved to New Delhi, possibly in the very near future. I wonder how their players will get by on a diet of curried eggs and chapatti bread? Also, I wonder if the club will reduce the price of season tickets for traveling fans?
Harry reckons that Venky will move Blackburn to New Delhi --------------------------------------------------------- ...does he, well I wish they'd curry up and do it then!
The Goon board is soooo boring now that they don't permit free and open debate from outsiders. All they do is squabble over how dreadful they are, and why Wenger is still the manager You can see why some Goonies find the place so depressing. Our board must seem like paradise compared with their own.
There's already precedent to say this wouldn't happen, in this case Wimbledon being told that they would be chucked out of the English League if they moved to Dublin, so Blackburn are as likely to move to New Delhi as Liverpool are to Boston. That and you misrepresented what 'Arry actually said...
Having worked out in New Delhi, maybe it would be good for your owners to take the well paid players out there to witness how some of the poorer people in this world live, and maybe then they would start to appreciate what they have and play for the loyal fans that support them through thick and thin
