Not really. This hearing is merely about whether there’s deemed to be a case to be brought, if the judgement is that there is, then this moves to the next stage, which will be a hearing that’ll undoubtedly be after the shunted arbitration case hearing. It’s the arbitration case that you need to win if there’s any chance of the worlds longest takeover saga actually completing.
I know that mate but we will soon see which way its heading is what I'm getting at. It's only a few months until January 3rd unless they come to an agreement prior. The premier league are determined to hide things. Why?
They're trying to hide things worse than this 'Sign there papers or we will throw you out of the league.'
I don’t think it makes much difference tbh mate. If Ashley’s case for compo gets lobbed out here, I don’t think he’d jib off the arbitration (unless he knows the deal is definitely dead) & if the case is allowed to continue it doesn’t mean he’d win when it’s heard & by that point arbitration will have completed.
Wasn’t that about him having to sign the annual PL contract - which in theory prohibits him from bringing a legal case outside of arbitration? Makes a nice headline, but they’ve hardly turned up with revolvers lol.
I've been of the opinion that if this goes ahead and the premier league is faced with full exposure that an agreement will suddenly get made and around Xmas it'll go through. I've had the opinion for quite some time. They're hiding things.. Why? If they've done nowt dodgy?
Everything they've done has been hidden, but if this isn't thrown out they'll lose that secrecy though, so I'm wondering what they're so determined to hide and whether it'll change things.
The arbitration was adjourned due to issues with full disclosure on both sides, and the outcome of that arbitration will be published. So they’ve known for months that any key points won’t be hidden. Not wanting the entire thing to be turned into a televised soap opera doesn’t mean they’re guilty of setting fire to servers mate. You Toon lads have over egged the conspiracy aspect of this entire thing from the off imo, I said that when it all started getting daft on Twitter etc.
Well we'll have to see but I'm of a different opinion. I'm genuinely interested in this... I found today quite entertaining.
I know mate I found it fascinating and quite funny when the judge called out bullshit from both sides at times
Not a good look for the premier league https://www.skysports.com/football/...e-rejecting-newcastle-takeover-tribunal-hears
Would that be because he would fail the owners test? Or that he could buy a club that will be a better deal.
