Then they said the PL had threatened to expel us if SJPH did not sign it.

I am not sure. There is clearly enough about this point for the length of time and detail surrounding it.

 

He's made a bit of a pigs ear of this point.

 

If the PL had the bollox to follow through with the threat it would have done before today.
If SJPL had signed it the case would not be going on today.

So I think it makes no difference but makes for a great headline.

My guess is that they simply do not want this in the news. The threat could have killed the case. Imagine the press if we were kicked out. Try to hide that one by putting pressure on Sky and BBC!
