Tell me a time where corruption hasn't played a part in society be it police, politics,the arms industry, govt, etc and you won't be able to...fact, I was highlighting the fact that he seemed to be blaming the response time which seems to me to be the ambulance service, and if so was out of order like I said in response I hope he never needs an ambulance

Completely taken out of context. The emergency services (in this instance Police) deemed it to be a gang-related violence hence they did not defer the matter to the ambulance service quick enough. Stephen Lawrence was wrongly profiled as a gang member. If the first respondents (Police usually are in any murder/violent crime) had worked on the basis is it was an unprovoked murder or at least not assumed it was gang violence then the entire chain of events than followed could have saved his life - it's a trickle down effect.

It's complicated but one of the reasons Stephen Lawrence is made a big deal of is because of where it happened - from the outside London seems a multicultural melting pot but it exposed deep racial divides within boroughs. You also have to consider the context of what was going on around the world at the time. Mandela release in 90', Rodney King in 91', OJ Simpson 94', Rwandan Genocide in 94' etc - it was a time where deep racial divides all over the globe were being analysed with great scrutiny.

That's assuming you know as fact the police didn't tell the ambulance service fast enough, if so then they are culpable but the police whether they thought it was gang related or not surely didn't let the guy bleed to death because they thought it was, if so then the country is in the ****

Can anyone tell me why it is that Taliban and other 'freedom' fighters never seem to leave their guns/rocket launchers at home. THey cradle these things in their arms like they were their offspring. Some of these weapons must weigh a bit but they troll them around all day and are never seen without them. I wonder what they do at night.
