Just shows different eyes, I thought yet again Ball was superb like he has been all season. Agree with Gray still not convinced what he brings

I know what you mean, I don't think Gray is up to speed as yet, he'll get beyond the back line when he does.

He's been our player of the season so far, in my opinion.

Agreed. Strangely I also said to Mrs RTID that I'd take the draw as it was so important not to lose.
Seny had a good game though they hardly troubled him really.
Given they were only behind us on goal difference, I was expecting tougher opposition.
    Weird old game.

Ball player of the season! He doesn't cover acres of space in front of the back 3, seems unaware of danger, and his passing is often poor as today.

Would drop him as soon as soon as Field is back fit, or sooner if Johansen is back and Dozzell continues as today.

Well I’m bloody soaked, not a great game of football but a deserved 3 points. We missed a bit of class in the middle of the park to slow it all down. Got to say our crowd were “man of the match”, now where is that bottle of Venezuelan rum.

In the first half ? Really ? Gave the ball away twice on the edge of our own box, a team with more potency upfront would've been 2 up from those errors. He improved 2nd half when he stopped messing around near our box but you can't make those errors against decent sides and expect to get away with them. He's played every game so he's probably mentally fatigued as much as physically.

Willock surely ? Guys been superb in every game. A bit more willowy but reminds me of Eze when he's running with the ball. Languid style and deceptively strong, never see him pushed off the ball and hardly ever gives it away. Think he's gonna be a top player very soon !

Don't get me wrong, Ball has been very good but he is a limited footballer and had a poor first half tonight in my eyes. He's much better when he's not trying to overthink things and playing daft flicks around our own box. For what he is I think he's been immense so far this season and he hardly ever gets injured or misses a game. Bloody invaluable at this moment in time !

I think it was all about the result last night and we got it, so job done. Chair was a real bright spark in what was, at times, a dull affair. Dozzel looked comfortable and relaxed on the ball, great to see Amos come on. I also thought odebajo had a good game but its often difficult to see the full picture of the game on TV. After 3 defeats in the league, on the bounce, its about getting a result no matter how. We did that so happy days.

The criticism of Ball is a little unfair imo.
He's a limited player on the ball, being asked to play in a team who pass it out from the back, regularly having to receive the ball under pressure. Not easy!!
He works his nuts off and does a good job in front of the back four. We're so open through there that Busquets would look exposed at times.

Ball is the player every good team needs.

Solid, will always give 110%, always keen to be involved, never sulky, knows he is not the best technical player, but desperate to win for his team.

    Can play nearly anywhere..
In a squad of 12 players he would always be there.

This season he has played so much football, always available, always trying his best. Usually in the unheralded position of protection in front of back 3. Throw in an occasional goal of quality too

Not actually man of the match or season, but possibly so far, team player of the year
