mainly you are out to piss other fans off, mainly with the odd moment of clarity. You dont piss me off really, I am just bored of the same tennis matches on every thread
Just look at this board! Little to no activity. No real discussions of anything to do with LFC (apart from Hash's thread). It's a pale shadow of the vibrant board it was only a few weeks ago. In it's present state would you recommend it to a friend? I'm so pissed-off I couldn't even be arsed playing any music!
I know I am a bugger for getting involved in arguments that go way off topic, but when I see utter sheite posted (esp about my club or players) I am not prepared to let it go unchallenged. I wouldn't mind having my knuckles rapped by mods when this happens as long as the whole culture is about keeping threads roughly on topic. PS Multi-board threads are generally an invitation for a pissing contest unless they are the match build up threads which have so far been generally quite good.
http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/94915-So-Rangers-gape-a-top-premiership-side/page2 Post 37 on the above ( although that was actual on the Rangers board ) If you're easily offended then don't bother. The GC one got locked after some other ****ty comments.
I read that post and quite frankly it was so childish I couldn't be bothered even trying to be offended by it.
A couple of multi-board threads included GC on them and you got invaded today. Twice. Very funny from afar, but not so much from the LFC board perspective....I can understand why.
Not at all. In fact, you'll notice I pulled someone up on their comments on that very subject if you'd bothered to look.
Thanks for that SW6. But even you agree its getting out of hand and the more mods that do the better the chance of changes for the betterment of the site and the members.
No worries, there are some things that are just no go areas. Re Multi board...A lot of us are talking about it mate, it's just about how's best to work it and if it is actually actionable. From there it is also how much time, effort and money it will take for Mick to sort it and if he actually thinks any of the ideas are any good. I seem to remember he he spent time creating and implementing the multi-board thread option because people wanted it, it's just a shame some people abuse it or in other cases don't know how to use it properly
I think the issue here is simple. 1. fine the multi board system was wanted by some folks and fine at the start people were not using it that badly. 2. the minute the wise asses cottoned onto the fact they were unpolicable they went for it big time. 3. while we all know its an addition and the site is done by one guy the facts are that good users will leave and the purpose of the site will have been lost simply as the controls are not in place. Not having a go but i nthe end it needs to be said that the modifiaction had flaws and they need to be addressed. That's life, live/learn. 4, I think most every good user would say that we'd be happy to await a change if we knew one was going to happen but the thing is.... leave a vacuum of info and people will assume nothing is going to be done.
