If/When Sky does come back , im not gonna let the old bollix live this hissy fit down (i know youre reading this )
I heard he got so drunk one Cristmas..he thought the corner of the bedroom was the toilet and pissed all over his girlfriend's xmas gifts.
I'm off too, had enough of the bickering ruining perfectly good debates. It gets worse by the day.So... Its goodnight from him and goodnight from me....bye
Well, sorry to see any decent liverpool fans leave but before you do just take a look at the last couple of threads this evening and see how it can and should be.
i dont post often on the internet but i am sad skylrker left.i often read this site most days and alhtough im getting on abit i thought skylarker was such a funny guy with a real good side to him.the lovable rogue if you like.he gave this old man many laughs and sometimes i looked forward to seeing what he would write next.that may sound sad but it's true. if you read this skylarker i wish you all the best for the future for you and your family.
The sad part is that the pricks that do the damage only show up randomly and then crawl back under their stones. We have our LFC/MUFC banter with the usual suspects and have some good posters from other teams that visit our board and on that basis i'll stay around in the hope things get better regarding the wumming.
****ing hell, get a grip everyone. It's been like this for what, a week..tops? It's hardly an issue, if you don't like a thread (there are so few wum threads) then don't click it. Better yet, make another thread and start some debate, now if no one comments on it or there are few replys then that's another issue - but at the moment there are few multi-team sports forums bigger than not606.
Thing is Red the wumming over the last week has mainly been sick remarks over the victims of Hillsborough, their families, the debate on the tagedy in the commons, the city of Liverpool and its inhabitants. Thats emotive stuff and the twats that posted it got away with it because they posted it on other boards that were crossed with ours and mods of other teams boards that woul'dnt close the threads even though our mods politely aske them to. Its not the site thats bad its the limited powers of our mods, its the rules on cross board thread moderation and the sick minded twats not getting banned.
Totally agree with you Page. I said earlier that I think that our Mods try and do a good job. To be fair I think the Utd Mods also do their best but they don't have the power to stop things before they get silly or to remove threads that are obviously set up to either WUM or abuse. But if we keep hemorrhaging posters then there will be no point in staying
Sorry page, didnt know there had been those remarks. Just the poor wum threads. There are always knobs though on any forum who get their kicks from making fun of tragedies, it shouldn't be a reason to leave the forum all together. Not unless the admins have said they won't intervene. Syd said today was the first he'd heard of it so let's hope it gets sorted so mods can ban multi boards.
I'm not going to ask you to stay Sky mate. If the board continues this way over the next few days/weeks then it will only reinforce your desire to leave. Who knows...you might miss my ass or The Hammerhead too much to want to stay away forever. But seriously, all you might need is a break and the board may calm down a bit back to it's good old ways. One thing will never change though, there will always be an e-pint waiting for you in the Anfield Arms from myself or any other decent poster from the LFC/Utd board.
I agree with this and also with Red - it hasn't been going on for too long so just stick with it lads. Also, as one of the resident United fans on your board, I would also like to point out the sick **** over the last week hasn't come from any of us United fans, infact we have been some of the first to jump on it. Stick with the site and all will be good
Thanks Eric. Perhpas it was the cumulative effect that almost broke the camels back. I'm not saying that we are all angels (I know at least one manc poster who will be thinking "that's bloody true" about me), but for many of us it appeared that we couldn't even have a discussion about LFC amongst ourseleves without appearing to be attacked. However, last night a few of us tried to get things back to normal - thank God for the Norwich fans - and Luv is mounting a one-man posting exercise this morning. But thanks for your support.
