Beardsley was a wonderful player. If you are asking why he is not considered as a legend here then perhaps part of the reason lies with his association with Newcastle. As with Keegan, Liverpool did not appear to be his first love.
Beardsley was incredible and his partnership with Barnes/Rush/Aldridge was incredible - souness sold him saying his best days were behind him - beardsley was still playing superb football many years later
Seem to remember his name coming pretty high in the top 100 ever or some thing like that on LFC TV plus he was only with us for four? seasons.
funniest thing about Beardsley was when he was on the coach going to or coming from a game, he would stuff his face with bags of crisps and chocolate - aldridge once said he wouldn't have been able to move if he had eaten what beardsley ate before a game
He was voted our 19th best ever player tt. http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/100-pwstk-no-19-peter-beardsley
Nice one, good little read that, anyway I think 19th shows that he is held in pretty high regard by fans still.
When we consider the players we've had before/during and after Beardos time with us that sure is high regard,110,000 voted in the poll.
