Best way to stop people filling already nearly full tanks is for a minimum charge of 30 litres. Paying £40 for ten litres should put most people off
Another petrol station near me has a policy of nobody is allowed to fill up with more than £30 I'm reasonably sure there's a couple of people in my neighbourhood who wouldn't be able to drive back home on £30...
Scotland is the only country in the world where Coca Cola is sold, that it's not the biggest selling soft drink.
Nope. Irn-Bru propaganda and that's not even the claim: https://theferret.scot/scotland-country-coca-cola-popular-irn-bru/
I am surprised you are even aware of the Ferret. But actually if you read the claim that North Korea and Cuba have other drinks that outsell Coke you will see that's because there are trade restrictions in place. So where there are unrestricted free sales of Coke only Scotland has a local brand that outslells it. Which is what I said in the first place.
Those were just examples from responses that the initial post received. It's not even Coke in the claim, by the way. It's Coke and other drinks from the same company. Maaza and Sprite appear to be the most popular drinks in India, for example. They're both produced by Coke, though. I don't think that anyone has actually put the figures for every country online. It makes the claim impossible to verify.
Does it matter? It matter's to the Scots. Personally I think Irn Bru is the most disgusting soft drink I have come across and I have slight inkling that the Scots love the fact that the English don't follow their love of it. Most of the biggest and best claims in the world don't bear too much scrutiny but it's one of the least important concerns in the world today.
I think that Scotland's got enough things to be proud of without having to make things up. Buckfast, for example.
