Clearanswer was just a chance for people to relieve their teens and get a shag now and again...... But if your desperate for a job they literally take anyone on. Kept me in a job for a few months before Uni....
I don't know what Clearanswer is either, but I re-lived my teens and got a lot of shags by going to uni at the age of 23
A year on I'm in no better position. I worked for Kingstown Furniture this time last year, but got finished with no reason given. Then I worked for tele market research company from end of November last year to January this year. I've had two interviews since. Its killing me now.
Not that it'll put a hat on your head or food in your belly I feel for you Casual. There's less and less work going round and more and more people in the employment pool. My suggestion is an opportunity to job share, each the wage for the hours they work and the savings for the benefit system being used to make up the short fall in pension contributions. I realise that not everyone can take a half cut in wages, but it's not too far off the point where plenty of us are going to be taking a much bigger cut than that anyway if nothing changes. We're quick to point out the selfish nature of the very rich, but how many of us would be prepared to truly share the scarce opportunities? Don't forget, even on minimum wage, we're better off than over 90% of people on the planet.
I'm not looking for anything flashy. I'm quite willing to pack boxes in a factory or stack shelfs in a supermarket for NMW.
PM me a CV, anything will do, as long as I've got something I'll hand it round my mates. Barely anyone is hiring at the moment, but if I can help, I will.
Top lad OLM. Not many would help him as you are. If I had friends in higher places, I would attempt the same but your contacts are much superior to mine really!
That is much appreciated. Do you know how to attact file in a PM? Its just about the money too. I need to be doing something, I need something to get out of bed for. I miss the social side of working aswell.
If your early 20's mate i would seriously move away from Hull. I work away and earn a great wage but i cant get a job in Hull. Even ones way below what im earning now. The families too settled in Hull now to move unfortunately.
Have to say it's the best move career wise I'll ever make. I know I couldnt get a job in Hull doing what I do for even half the money. I fully appreciate it's not as simple as that for some people but if it's possible it's sadly worth considering.
At that age you've got it all ahead of you. Seriously, if you havent consider pastures new. It pains me to say it but there's nothing in Hull until Siemens might come off and that's 3 years. I know it's daunting but even moving just 65 miles to Leeds put you within an hour of so many opportunities.
I'd spent approx 2 years on dole by that age. And more was to come many years later! Character forming times that nearly all of us go through.

There's a number of other towns and cities within West Yorkshire to go at, not to mention the number of business parks straight off the M62 and M1 in the Leeds and surrounding areas. Good luck to ya....
