Think Soton could be in trouble this season. They've got no-one to score the goals they need, losing Ings could be the reason they get relegated. They'll need to find a prolific striker in Jan for them to stay up. Also Spurs were crap. Kane doesn't look interested and thats rubbing off on the rest of the squad. Spurs were idiots not to sell him in the summer, his price is dropping with every lackluster peformance and they could have done with the money to improve their team.
Problem spurs have now is, if you drop him then make a huge mockery of not selling him and his value plummets. in jan you then have a player that doesn’t want to be there, isn’t playing well and his value is no where near the 150m previously mentioned. However, if you continue to play him and keeps firing blanks and team keeps playing poorly then where do you go from there? Tbh always found the nuno appointment odd. I know he was about 6th choice but levy spoke about going back to spurs dna of playing attacking football… yet you hire a manager whose wolves team only scored in the first half in something like 20 of his 80 games in charge.
I've always thought Nuno was decent, but not a manager for a top 4 team (which I assume Spurs aspire to be). He got the best out of Wolves, but this is a much less forgiving employment.
Still think Rape boy (and other divers) should be picking up more cards for their dives. Stupid how it's still left unpunished 99% of the time.
Jonathan Biabiany's incredible career: 2004: Signs for Inter Milan 2009: Signs for Parma on loan 2010: Signs for Parma 2010: Signs for Inter 2011: Signs for Parma 2015: Signs for Inter 2018: Signs for Parma on loan
they started well but then so did spurs. they have now ended up with 4 draws and 2 losses but on other days the games go their way. they did buy a player i thought was decent but everton- led lost 1-3 man utd 1-1 - thats decent for a bottom half team newcastel 2-2 - that's a poor enough result but it was away. west ham 0-0 had a man sent off. given west hams results this is decent too City 0-0 very good result wolves 0-1 loos - thats a poor result as well. again away. So they have played 3 of last years top 6 out of 6 games and drew all 3. losing to poor teams like wolves and everton and drawing against fellow 40points in newcastle is poor. I can see them improving but i can also see them falling apart at some point in the season. In general still watford, norwich and burnely look worse than them but they need some wins to prove it. My bottom six looks like wolves, burnely, norwich, watford, newcastle and southampton but leeds need to buck up their ideas.
Irrespective the position is largely irrelevant right now, the goal is points accumulation not to win the top at Christmas trophy. I'd be very happy to not get beat by city and move on
