He definitely has the potential but unfortunately I'm talking about here and now. I don't mind Curtis playing but we need to have Fab and another 8 who is more defensive to help control the space.
The here and now is a locked transfer window and the player we have not the players we might have bought nor the players we might buy in the future. We have Jones, he left the pitch at 3-2 and the senior players let us down. V Norwich we played him no 6 and ox and keita let us down. We have to give Jones time and games. Same as Elliott. They can suddenly jump to elite players before you know it.
Agree! I really Jones' potential but he needs game time and for those around him to maintain a good standard. So far, they've let him down
Jones has looked decent, especially for his age, but Jonjo Shelvey and Neil Mellor looked pretty decent with only a handful of games under their belt and looked like they might have potential. Way too early to tell if Curtis is a Shelvey on an Alexander Arnold.
I think we'll see the best of jones in and around the outside of the opposition box tbh, hes that type of midfielder imo Id really like to see him have a more aggressive attitude when he does play though, as we saw with his goal against Brentford, he gets the ball, slows it down then drives inside and shoots, he needs to do that more and be braver on the ball for me. He needs to take a leaf from trents book in terms of getting into the team and then making himself undropable, its his duty as a scouser in the team imo to go that extra mile in a game, take that responsibility and be that guy who can be counted on to die for us to get a result.
No way you just compared Jones to Shelvey and Mellor! Get the **** out and close the ****ing door behind you, thick yank batard
All we can do is support them cos tbh irrespective of what level they get to club trained player are only going to get more and more important in the game. The Premier league rules are probably not going to get tighter given England have the golden generation thing going but uefa probably will tighten it up more again. This season we get a cl squad of 24 only due to not having enough. This is actually no big issue but imagine being down to say 19 players? Suddenly its a bit more of an issue for the big clubs. In fact if ffp is going to be trashed the best way to break the big clubs big squad stuff is to simply force them to have less option to buy and buy and buy. Trent, gomez and kelleher meet the criteria for club trained. Jones is 20 so will help. So will Elliott next season. Neco Williams too. This is quite healthy then. Irrespective of saying this or that about them we need to try our best to improve them to their potential. Kelleher has come on massively over 18 months. Absolutely massively, still a lot left to do on core keeping but he's right there that I'd pick him in the prem I certainly wouldn't have said that 2 years ago.
Trent is undoubtedly one of the best RBs around, but tbf he doesn't have a lot of competition for his place regardless. Curtis is in a more crowded field, so it will be a lot harder for him to become undroppable.
Arnold is not a right back and never will be which is why people like Jimmy keep going on about midfielders not giving him enough protection.
You got nothing to work with here. Prem, world, European champion. Your **** cant even cross a ball. So **** off with your bullshit
