the appointment was crucial, and needed to be a perfect one due to the rebuild. And it wasn’t. We ended up scraping the barrel and passed on a manager like Conte. <laugh>

    Wow! <laugh>

So he is beyond criticism! Leaves a gaping gap in the centre where his position is, and you blame the other midfielders. <applause> <doh>

If Skipp was starting there wouldn’t be such a gaping gap.

But you keep believing Ndombele’s the best thing since sliced bread and that Dele allows us to be attacking.

Weren’t it you also saying we had a chance of winning the league before the season? Good one, mate, good one.

Let’s not argue amongst ourselves it just makes it so much worse. The reality is we are a poor poor team and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we end up in a relegation battle this season. And I don’t think that’s being dramatic

Son’s gotta be the dumbest bloke on the planet tbh.

Signing a new deal to play alongside these mugs and this manager… something up top definitely weren’t working in his head.

Anyway… Sun’s still quite nice and the beach is pretty quiet, can’t complain too much I guess.

I quite like ndombele, seems like the only player at spurs who is trying to make something happen. You just need to place him with more defensive players though.

    3-0 HT. Absolutely appalling throughout.
We won't make any changes at the break and things will get a lot worse.
5 or 6-0 and then the manager's in real trouble.

the only game we deserve points from is vs City. 9 points massively flatters us.
We are in big trouble. Only Norwich are worse. And some may argue that they aren’t.

He is unfortunate that he ended up at this club where we don’t score or rarely attack!

He already is. Unless we have a huge turnaround second half then he should be gone

Conte was there for the taking and would have took the job if the owners had ambition.

The fact they went for an unemployed manager who’s biggest achievement is winning the second tier shows all we need to know about ENIC.

They’re more interested in hosting boxing than investing in the team.

It cannot be analysed in isolation. The appointment of Nuno - and the generally farcical manager hunt - was merely the latest in a long string of appalling decisions made at the very top, dating back to the year we decided not to strengthen our squad. Then we...
    - Tried to replace Walker with Aurier.
    - Allowed Rose, Wanyama and Dembele to decline through injury withouy replacing them.
    - Refused to sell Eriksen when he clearly wanted out and effectively priced him out of a move.
    - Sacked Poch and replaced him with the one man literally every fan could see was wrong.
    - Played an entire season without a backup striker.
    - Failed to replace Eriksen.
    - Promoted Dier to apparently replace Vertonghen.
    - Gave Dier, Alderweireld and Winks new contracts.
    - Sacked Maureen a week before a cup final and appx. 3 months too late.
    - Missed out on Nagelsmann.
    - Pissed around for 11 weeks making a mockery of ourselves looking for a new manager.
    - Entered another season without a backup striker.

    Have I missed anything?

The club is rotten to the absolute core.

I could just about cope if you believe that this is the lowest point. In other words this is truly bad, but at least things can only improve from now. Shame that probably isn't true!

I doubt he'll make one at half-time. He should make two, at least, but it won't happen.
I'd get Kane and Alli off and stick Skipp and Gil on.

Stunned that we were able to get at you so easily. Your midfield is non existent, you’re not tracking runners and your forward players aren’t working hard off the ball. Too slow in defensive transition.

Ndombele and Dele have been useless, I’m afraid. You can’t be playing passengers in a game like this.

I’ll add Kane to that as well - disgraceful performance from him.

and they need to up their game with that too. My missus was in corporate hospitality last night, £1k a ticket, and said it was really underwhelming. <laugh>
